For a simple freeze in my stomp I use ping pong into particle verb. The ping pong will do infinite repeats without running away or building up, and the particle smooths it out. I put those two on path B with a momentary footswitch doing path A 100% to a 50/50 split. The footswitch also takes ping pong repeats to 0 when pressed. To clear the freeze, just press the footswitch while the guitar is silent.

Seeing the stuff that some people are doing with their Helix equipment with their signal chains seems so scientific. While im over here just running one straight line of effects into an amp and a cab (except stereo FX) like a simpleton 😭🤣

Nice. I love the Cloudburst. I generally prefer the flexibility of the Infinite pedal over the Freeze, but both very nice.

Nice, but can you please make a Helix preset sound close to the Walrus Audio Sloer? I'm too cheap to buy that expensive reverb pedal.

Love that ambient combination. I purchased a Cloudburst when they first came out and still have with my current rig of Stomp ToneX and a couple other pedals. Such a useful to have.

I already own the EHX Freeze... what would be one cheap small pedal I could pair it with to get a similar result to this? I dont want to fork out for a massive helix board, but I'd love to be able to play and make a similar sound to this!

A second hand hx stomp or xl won’t set you back nearly as much as the full board

If you have an amp, and a freeze.... try getting a line6 M9. You can use some of the old reverbs like Particle verb. Plus it has other great effects. The M series lured me in early 2000s. You can find them around $150 used. 300 effects in them
