That ada gravel is one of the nicer ones. I love the look of it. Can't wait to see how you utilize it.

Wow what an amazing stunning looking hard scape! The wood structure looks incredible and don’t think you could have done a better job, so you have every reason to boast about your success through hard work. Can’t wait to see part 2 once it’s all finished with plants. My only wish was if there was more of you to see in the video. As beautiful as the scaping looks, your natural beauty outshines all your other beautifully scaped tanks put together! 😁

I've been using the ADA Malaya soil for about 6 months. Grows plants really well, seems to keep the pH a little lower than Amazonia. My pH stays about 5.5, which was my goal for keeping soft acidic water loving fish and plants.
@REscapes8 ай бұрын
Oh cool, i think i also read some where it's good for acidic water, so that's good to know! 😊 thanks!

would this be long term scape? how would you deal with wood that decays down the road? also really liking the hardscape!
@REscapes8 ай бұрын
It will be as long term as possible, it does seem like quite a hard wood sp decay should be slow but if i get a few years ill be happy, in that time though i will no doubt change the plants and maybe even foreground so it will always be some new iteration but using the smae hardscape
@93kristof8 ай бұрын
You could just cap everything with sand and gravel, create a deep substrate, then there's no issue with the soil coming up. Never understood why people would have that ugly aquasoil visible and create algae blooms at startup. Even carpeting plants will grow in sand, maybe slower, but the roots will find the soil below.
@REscapes8 ай бұрын
Yeah i did debate doing that but because im dark starting it and using a filter thats been running for a few years now im hoping it should be an easier start, and less chance of algae blooms but if it prooves to be a problem i can always cap it 😊
