The Accra regional center for culture, “The Arts Center”,is better known simply as the National Center for Culture in Accra, Ghana. It is situated right next to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, where the Kwame Nkrumah Museum is.
There you will find what is virtually the tourist heaven of Ghana. It has got everything from woven Kente cloth, wooden sculptures, beadworks, leather bags, earrings and other fashion accessories, the latest in African Attire fashion, and good-quality handicrafts from all over Ghana.
A warren of stalls selling arts and crafts. There are arts and crafts bazaars and a traditional textile market with souvenirs that have been crafted in clay, wood, leather and metal. There is also indoor market with stalls having footwear, tee shirts and other souvenirs.
There is an art gallery, which sells traditional handicrafts from all over Ghana at reasonable prices. There are a never-ending array of goods in numerous stalls that may not even be able to shop.
Dentaa visited Richard who showed her around the center and shared his experience about his tenure at the Ghana Arts center and how he makes more money from his business than when he was in America..

Great to see what this Brother is doing with such a talent. One important thing that he pointed out was none of the materials were from China and was good to know that everything came from Ghana 100%. Always makes me proud to see such projects by our African Brothers and Sisters.

I used to be an art collector & remember buying goods from the Art Centre to sell in London years back in the early 1980's. If you are interested in African Art, it is truly a place to visit. I somehow hope that, one of the millionaires in Ghana would one day make the Centre a more comfortable place to shop in.

15:50 Omg they have the same drumbeat & rhythm we play in Jamaica when we have a death. We Jamaicans are definitely Ashanti tribe. When growing up as a child I always here the elders shouting "Ashanti" but I thought they were crazy, never knew it was my history.

It's crazy I am from St. Vincent & the Grenadines. We play the same drums and flute; growing, I was in the culture band, playing music on the drums. It's sad! They stole our body but not our mind, praise 👏 to the ancestors we are all one! One thing I will like to say! The ship Providence was sail from West Africa to St. Vincent onto Jamaica, 🇯🇲 Providence. My name is an original out of Africa! Thank you, blessings, my brother! Yes, my brother, love 💕

That is part of why we are hated so much! They can never do what we do and have a rich history like us! It's not the color. It's our brain 🧠 God give us everything! We are the mother of the earth! No place on this earth you can go and fine art like this! No other race can't produce this we have! Wow, 😮 God is good; people wake up the ancestors are giving us back our land! Let's pull together and make it better for our children! Not this time, no more! I am so happy I can see all these things straight from our brother! Thank you, one love, 💕

No, he won’t make more money at a mall. They pay a LOT in rent at the malls so they pass that on to the consumer by increasing the prices of their goods. So he having it at this place will save him from increasing prices of his goods to pay for rent

Ghanaians never have answers for anything; how much are you shipping overseas? Answer: well normally it was good, but because of COVID you know? Lol Let’s work on our transfer of knowledge communications skills. Let’s get better at communicating stats and ideas clearly as it helps businesses grow and allows others to realistically learn.
