Thank you so much for stopping by and watching!! In this video, I am sharing the vintage book I am using for my Christmas junk journal for 2020, along with my (somewhat unconventional) fabric choices for the spine, as well as the scrapbook papers and embellishments, and vintage pages for the inside! I also share what I am going to be documenting this year!

Firstly I love everything and a lot of the Pretty Little Studio labels and things can be used year round. The colors are perfect for these kind of journals.

Lots of wonderful goodness there! Love your journals! I did my December daily altered book style in an old Christmas spiral bound organizer. It actually started the beginning of November which was fun. I journal a little every day and do an Advent devotional in it daily. This is my first year to do a December daily. It's been fun! Last year, I just added Christmas in to the end of my regular daily junk journal!

Hi Amy - I ended up with the same North Pole Vintage collection that you did. I just loved the jolly Santa and the colors that were used. I love the idea of just documenting about ornaments too. I may actually do that myself. :-) Thanks always for the inspiration.

Happy Holidays Amy! Great book choice for this year. I also love the Simple Stories collection, I bought it all and the digital too since it was on sale! lol I have had most of the Christmas Cheer in my cart, just need to commit bwahahaha I cannot wait to see how yours all comes together....I have so much going on this year end (selling my business, amongst other things) that I just did not have time to prepare for a documented December book....hopefully I can do it next year since I will be retired, yay!!! hugs gina

@@KittywittyPapercraft Thanks Amy....yes selling the business...even though I am considered essential and I can remain open during this pandemic, business has really slowed down. Plus there were a few other variables involved.....the biggest is me wanting to retire...again lol! This is my second attempt. So yes more crafting time and travelling time (once we can) are in the cards for me...so excited!

I am so swamped with many things in my life and business right now and I am not sure I will even get to actually use this one! I may end up using it for next Christmas! Do you have any tips on where you find your vintage items? Favorite online shops, etc. In my city I don’t have or haven’t found any good thrift stores that carry this stuff. Thanks. I can’t wait to see how your journal turns out. I agree the yellows are a great add to the book. I love the theme ideas. I think I might do the same I have just started making junk journals and have already sold 2 on Etsy. I work full time so finding time to make these is challenging but I love it.

Thank you!! That yarn is vintage, so it can be hard to find. You have to look anywhere they sell used or vintage, like antique shops, thrift stores, yard sales, etc. You can search ebay and Etsy, too. If you can't find vintage, you can use new yarn. Just look for bulky or chunky yarn. It's not the same texture, but I do use it sometimes. The vintage yarn is usually called gift tie yarn bc it was sold to wrap gifts with. Good luck!! 🤗💕💕💕

Of course, Linda! It is vintage, so I find it either secondhand or on Ebay! If I can't find the vintage yarn, I will buy new yarn (online--various shops--I just Google to see what's out there). I look for acrylic yarn labelled 'bulky' or 'chunky'. It not quite as fat and fluffy as the vintage, but it still looks nice! Hope that helps!! 🤗❤❤❤
