I'm a Christian - working in missions. I'm coming to terms w the fact that I'm queer. I'm so confused and terrified. Yesterday I came out to one close friend who is also Christian. And she came out to me. It feels so liberating to process w someone who is on the same journey as me. I am slowly learning to accept... whatever this is and to begin to figure out how it looks in my life. I'm slowly finding freedom, peace, faith, acceptance.

Thank you for sharing this! I'm bisexual myself and Christian (but not catholic) but I've had the privilege of growing up in a safe environment and even an accepting church! It is so important to talk about the Christian beliefs that God loves all his children, no matter who they are!

I mean I’m 13 going on 14 and I have panic attacks constantly because I don’t know who I am yet but I’ve always liked girls. And I live with very conservative parents but very liberal siblings. I recently came out to my brother and he was 100% accepting. And being able to watch videos of fellow LGBT Christians is really helping me.

I’m really going through a dark and confusing time trying to find my sexuality and I’ve searched the internet for everything I can find. I’m agnostic, but I found this video very therapeutic and the stuff you mentioned about slowly finding yourself were nice to listen to. I’m glad that you seem in a good place, because that’s what everybody deserves!

Thank you so much for choosing visibility. I've attended & been loved as a Christian at a non-affirming church, though I wasn't able to participate or serve openly because enough of my queerness was on display & I watched others be pushed out of leadership. My preferred denomination (Episcopalian) is actively affirming, yet God called me to wander & challenged how I see Them (& the Episcopal place isn't always the best place to quit drinking, lol). I always felt God say Hold on, stay for now. That said, this same church protected me & supported me in separating from my abusive immediate family. So, I have very mixed views about how the church received me in the past, but I definitely believe God's hand has been on my life all along as so much was being deconstructed. I'm thankfully now at a church in another part of the country where the pastor is openly affirming & leaders have discussed how being friends with people who were exposed to conversion therapy decades ago influenced their support & volunteer work with the LGBT community. I feel theologically & socially safer than I ever have in my life here, but I'm still in the closet re: the wider church, mostly because I don't want to endanger my prospects or open myself up to continued abuse. I've never suffered persecution for my queerness (oddly, other things, but not that) though I recognize sharing with the wrong person one time could have disastrous effects for myself & my preferred partner. Thank you for being out. I ask myself how many health problems do I want trying to hold it all in. In these moments, I hand it up to God as They made me Christian & will ultimately deliver us, especially from cherry-picking sins.

I’ve been denied from two positions in the church and was just denied from the World Race this morning because I identify as bisexual. I am extremely open about my past and about my life in general and that includes this part of me that a lot of Christians hate me for. So thank you for sharing your story and for making me feel a little less alone 💛

Jesus practiced a lot of hatred towards other jews, so did Paul against sexual sinners, and John the Baptist against the divorced. Being a christian certainly requires a bit of hatred, even God is storing up his wrath. The bible ain't the wonderful fairy tale you think it is.

Thank you so much for making this video. I fully idenity with what you say. I came out ad bisexual about three weeks ago and thankfully it was a relay good experience. I «came out» as christian last year after a long a constant struggle with my beilfs. And everything seemd to make sense. I am happy to say I have found my way back to my christianity and I also identify as bisexual. But I do have a question - dose anyone feel tired after? I feel exhaused (in a good way) and sometimes I just start to cry iut of nowhere. Is that just me or has anyone else had that? And thank you again for maning this video - I’m 28 so maybe very late at this but I cant wait to look at all the books and start to read. You are alsl very brave and you have my deepest respect.❤️😊

I was questioning my sexuality when I was a teenager...turns out I'm straight... Lots of guys have hurt me emotionally... And recently just recently I started thinking about girls again..but at the end of the day I want to marry a man...but I can see myself giving a peck on the lips!. i always thought that i had been possibly bisexual for all the wrong reasons based off of what had happened to me when i was little. i started to realize that the more i grew up and the more i checked out girls and thought of these things, but with girls, that it didn’t discredit my attraction to men either. i was attracted to both. it took me really talking to my best friend, who’s also my boyfriend, in order for me to say it out loud... that i’m bisexual. i’m not really open with it, sometimes i do say that i’m not to protect myself from the people around me. (i’m pretty sure my family knows bc every time i see halsey, jlaw, or scarlet Johansson i literally drool) but thank you Jackie for always being real

Jackie, first of all I never comment on KZfaq videos this way, but something about your message touched me and I wanted to reach out. First off, I am so sorry for the ways Christians have failed the LGBT community. The story of the pastor humiliating that boy is just heartbreaking. No one should ever have to feel that they are cut off or without hope, especially because of something they can’t change. Christianity should never be used as a way to flex our own supposed “righteousness,” especially at others’ expense. The great equalizer is not that we’re all awesome though, it’s that we all *aren’t* -gay, straight, bi, whatever. We ALL have sins in our lives and are fundamentally messed up. And until we come to that place of realization in our lives, we aren’t ready for God. There’s a reason Jesus began his epic Sermon on the Mount with the declaration, “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” We have to have an attitude of submission when we come to God. That’s where the journey begins - total humility. It’s a heart that says, “God, I don’t deserve you, I can never repay you, and my life is now yours to do whatever you want to with.” Several times you reference a particular view on homosexuality - that it’s a sin to have same-sex-attraction and that people who are attracted to their own gender are going to hell. There may be Christians who preach this but they didn’t get that from reading the Bible. Let’s use something else as an analogy. Say I am a compulsive gossip. Every time I find out an interesting tidbit I have a BURNING desire to share it with the next person. If I feel that desire to gossip, have I sinned? No. Being tempted to do something wrong is not a sin. So even if you believe that practicing an LGBT lifestyle is wrong, the orientation itself is not sinful. God absolutely does not hate or condemn anyone for experiencing same-sex attraction! This comment is not the place for a verse by verse breakdown of what the Bible says about practicing an LGBT lifestyle, but I will contradict you and mention that same-sex sex has been going on a long, long time. Like back to the days of Abraham and Lot (Genesis 19). Sappho was a Greek lesbian poet in 580 BC. Besides the obvious medical advances that make gender reassignment possible, not a lot has changed between then and now. We can’t say that Bible commentary on homosexuality was actually talking about something else, if that makes sense. I love that you have a desire to grow and to ask questions and develop a faith that is truly your own. Keep seeking that. The good news is that God is unchangingly faithful and good, the hard news is that His truth doesn’t change either. He doesn’t “grow” along with us, because He was perfect from the beginning. His word is applicable for all time and for every culture. Are there commandments and principles I wish didn’t exist? Sometimes, yes! But I have to accept that God understands things I don’t and those difficult commands are there for a reason. But I won’t belabor the point. If you read all this, I’m very impressed - hope you found something useful or encouraging!

I am a Catholic mother of children of trans, and special needs.., i love God, church, bible, Jesus Christ and being in the midst of all sort of attacks of people perspections... yr sharingcame to me in time as v encouraged, sincere. God indeed loves everyone , we must save lives so that we live to do morw for God and live to tell how beautiful God is cos God is LOVE. 1 John 4:8! Well spoken, child of God!

Though I find it odd for one to love someone romantically of the same sex I never hated anyone for it. I can't say much about the religious part not coming from such a background myself though it didn't surprise me either. I may understand someone might speak against homosexuality for religious reasons but at the same time I doubt anyone would go out of their way to love someone of the same sex risking any kind of turmoil. I've often felt while we all have control over what we do but I figure I can't feel anything romantically for a man and if someone who is a man or woman and feels such feeling for the same gender then maybe they can't feel the same for the opposite. Maybe the bible isn't something that always should be taken literally or if you're gonna do that consider that since there's no physical evidence to support such stuff perhaps one need to be willing to think outside what they believe if not disregard it.

You are. The New Testament condemns "abandoning men's natural relations with women" for men but it Doesnt say that doing both is wrong. And you figure with all of the Polygamy in the Old Testament there was probably some girl on girl action taking place among the wives.

Hello I'm a deconstructed Christian and I have to tell you you are definitely not going to hell my personal beliefs are Christianity needs to be taken apart and put back together the right way I'm not an atheist either but what I found is The Narrative of hell was made up, early Christians didn't believe in hell they actually believed everyone went to the same place good or bad and if you read the Bible Jesus actually went to hell to set the captives free however and whatever way you carry yourself you are perfectly and wonderfully made

i respect how you feel and your opinion. and i dont think you’re going to hell. my only question is this. you say you’ve done research and have resources validating it being ok to be gay and love God. but as a christian why isnt Gods active and living word and the holy spirit not enough of a resource? im in no way judging im just trying to understand your reasoning to trust more in resources that are more concerned about following feelings then truth. i love your page and in no way am i judging. just please help me understand the lack of trust in Gods word. whats the point of christianity if we cant trust his word and have to seek outside resource to validate how we feel?

God’s “word” is, as much as we like to imagine it was breathed onto paper instantly, has been written and rewritten for thousands of years by men with their own beliefs and cultures influencing it. The Bible is beautiful and inspiring, but looking at it without taking into account the context of when each book was written makes you miss just how beautiful it is. It’s not only a book filled with God’s messages for us, but it’s also a book that details the journey of humanity coming to know God and coming to understand how deep his love is for us through Jesus Christ. I trust God’s word, and that’s the word I get through prayer and conversation with him daily.

God's word has been translated many times over to get to the version you may have read. There is several words that were translated to mean homosexuality but are used as other terms throughout. Arsenokoitai is just one of them.

Hi Jackie, I’ve watched a lot of your videos in the past and I’m still subscribed to you because I just love you girl 😊 I would encourage you to search out the scriptures on this topic. Romans 1 clearly speaks that because those people were disobedient to Christ (they were acting out in homosexuality behavior and other sins) God gave them up to themselves, to their sinful nature. God in His love wants us all to come to repentance - because we all sin. Whether your struggle is drinking consistently, having sex outside of marriage consistently or engaging in homosexuality consistently. God wants for all people whatever their struggle is to come to repentance and salvation. What/Who do we love more? God or ourselves? If we truly love God we will obey His commands. Praying for you. Jackie!! I'm so sorry :( . I think people are generalizing the "Going to hell" Conversation piece. Hell is a place where you aren't surrounded by God. Not this fiery pit of gnashing of teeth. I'm just really sorry that after everything you've been through, that this is what it's led you to. I encourage you to look into Matthew Vines, especially his book. He's claiming to "re-train" Christians on how they've been wrong for 2000 years about what God says about homosexuality. Please PLEASE just take a look into him. I've read his book. It's 100% based off of Martin Luther's Revolution in the 1960's. This is a crazy attempt to brainwash people in the LGBT community, and I'm not just saying that. Think about how you and Alex were raised. now think about conforming to a New Age movement that justifies sin. Just please look into him.

I was raised in a Christian home, but I've known for years I'm a gay guy, I don't tell anyone , I keep it to myself , which is why my depression is bad a lot, I've tried to hide it for a longtime, but I know deep down I'm gay.

God is god. He doesn’t conform to us. We cannot twist Christ to our liking. I was a misfit in church but I didn’t ever condone sin. Not my sin or my family’s. My mother didn’t condone my lifestyle but she loved me. Revelations, Jesus was speaking to John, Jesus called out the world for conforming to a new religion that accepted sin. There’s forgiveness to those that repent. Jesus said “go and sin no more” he didn’t hang out with sinners. He hung out with reformed sinners. That’s why he called out the man he healed for sinning. Jesus told him to pick up his mat and sin no more. When the man continued to sin Jesus told him to stop before something bad happened to him. There’s abundance of grace for those that actually try to hold fast till the end. 👈Jesus said that. Christ was clear. If you love him you’ll keep his word and love your brother. It didn’t say your brother will be in heaven with u. You just love him. You don’t condone sin... you love. God of Abraham was harder on the Jews in a time when there wasn’t modern medicine. Imagine how healthy and safe we all would be if we lived exactly like god tells us to. Bottom line sin has a price because god made us a certain way. “For refusing the truth I will turn you over to a lying spirt so you’ll continue believing your lies” ~ god said that. There’s no place more dangerous than not being able to repent. Pray about it and I will too. Ask god to give the person that is wrong nightmares. Believe it or not this worked with my parents when they disagreed with each other’s theology.

You can't be a Christian if your living in defiance to God's word. You'll never be Justified and in-dwelt with the Holy Spirit by being a fornicator and bragging about your rebellion against God. Pray for discernment!! We are all in the same boat here on Earth as Romans says 3:10-12 10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” You have to have faith and repent and ask God to come into your life! We all do. We are all sinners that fail miserably. Once He does you'll be Justified and the Holy-Spirit will dwell within you and change your heart and you'll want to please God and follow him not rebel. This is serious! We are only on Earth a very short time and then you'll have to give an account and eternity will then await you in one place or another?? Twisting scripture around is another BIG BIG No NO!

Hello Jackie. I want to tell you my opinion because it’s different from yours and the extreme you go to hell view you mentioned in this video. I want to start by saying I have seen your heart and many of videos and think you are a follower of God. But I think being attracted to the same sex is a sin. I don’t think you will go to hell because of that sin though. I see it the same as lying, sex out of marriage, adultery, etc. it is something I believe you need to know confess to God and turn away from but doing it doesn’t make you not Christian. That’s just what I believe though. I don’t see you any different because you see things differently. I am still looking forward to your next book and appreciate you opening up and sharing something like this. I respect you for that. And hope you continue to make videos because I really believe they make a difference

Nothing but love for you Jackie. Glad you are being fully honest with yourself. But I do have a thought. Why identify yourself by sexual orientation? Why is that such a big identity? Because are more than your attractions. Another thought is, you don't think what you believe is becoming more about you than Jesus? Like it's about how YOU feel how everything affects YOU, your feelings matter over anything and idk. I just don't agree. I think you can have queer attractions but I just dont lean towards God 100% affirming those attractions being 100% ok to act upon. Especially Jesus says our very nature is corrupt. That just because we feel something, doesn't make it 100% right to do. I think it's to feel things and be open and honest 100% about it. But I don't see scripture affirming it. I think it needs to be less about us and more about God. Idk. Just some thoughts. God bless you
