So storytime... I'm a table games dealer at a casino in NY. We recently had our annual snowmobile racing event and I had a familiar sounding quintet at my games after the races all weekend. A pair of couples who came all the way from Norway just to watch a hometown rider in the races. I felt like a genius when I nailed where they were from by listening to them talk... thanks to listening to you for so long! LoL. From then on I referred to them as "the Vikings" I got to spend the weekend teaching them new games :-) It was awesome! (Don't laugh, I work overnights, live in the mountains and don't get out much!) 😜 Anyways, of course it made me think of you and come looking for you when I realized how long it's been since we got a wideo! 😁 Hopefully we hear more from you! I love your voice, it's very relaxing! Btw, I would absolutely LOVE one of your mods!!! Would you consider selling one? I have a lot of experience with vaping and I exclusively use mech mods. I know what I'm doing, so no worries there. I have never squonked though but have wanted to try it if I could find a squonking mech mod that I liked. I'd be honored to get one of yours....

Thanks for the fun story! Yes, it's been a while since I posted anything. I'm writing a new novel, and it takes all my time and effort. I need the money:-) I lost $4000 and one and a half year of work starting my channel. Well, not lost, I have a ton of cool vaping stuff and two RDA designs to show for it:-) My story is that I was starting to go blind and had other health issues, so I could not write or take pictures at the level I'm used to, so I took a year off to see it this vape-scene was a fun thing. And indeed it was! Now I'm getting better by the day, so unless I build something cool, or stumble over some very exciting new stuff, consider this cannel dead. My main hobbys now are soap making and silversmithing and music recording:-) Thanks for the fun comment!

Hi Morten I hope you don't mind me asking you for advice on wire tyres. I have been experimenting with some new wire N90 & SS317L & SS304 steel. The N90 has very low resistance the SS317L is good as it has the qualities of SS316L but with higher resistance. I don't remember you discussing wire materials much but I am slowly getting through your old videos like you suggested for tips on airflow etc. BTW I may have a job in Norway in May, not sure where yet. I work in IT freelance, mainly logistics. I hope you are keeping well. Thank You Tim
@mortenoen4344 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, I'm the wrong guy to ask about metal alloys. Usually I have a problem with too low resistance, so I almost allways use Kanthal for max resistance, and I never use temp control. I have used som SS variants, but with flat wire there is just no point to use anything else than Kanthal. Stay safe, Tim!

greetings from the patagonia Morten. there is a little baby rta that needs a review from you. innovative, simple and I bet potentially great air flow. I know you are a full grown RDA's man. But believe me and take a look at the Bombus RTA from Oumier. I ´ve seen other reviews, but that thing needs a review from you!
@mortenoen4345 жыл бұрын
Hi Pablo! I am planning a trip to Bahia Blanca some time in the future, that is almost Patagonia, right?-) I'm thinking of a photo safari, beautiful landscape! Now, I have looked at the Bombus, and I think it has a lot of problems regarding the airflow. It comes in from askew under the center, and the center is divided. First, that means a collision happens under the deck and you will no longer have an air"flow", only turbulence. And because the center is divied, this directional turbulence will not hit the underside of the coil, and because there is no flow, you will not have the air cling to the coil. All this means: No flatwire coil, low watts, big single coil, hot and maybe a bit more spatter. Sorry but not my cup of mate-tea:-) I liked it being a single coil tank, but the rest is not good. Take care!
@pablorey92035 жыл бұрын
@@mortenoen434 kind it you made it, the review. Now I am even more intrigued but that insect. Bahia Blanca is near the Patagonia, not almost the Patagonia, it has hundreds of thousands of habbittants, a big dock (i do not know the word where the ships are charged... )... I am in Puerto Madryn but I mostly know it, I can answer your inquiries. And gladly i will. BTW it is no mars , there are buses, planes... you can travel. :)
@fayex25145 жыл бұрын
Hi! Can you please explain the differences between using cantal, SS, nickel etc ? Which stays cleaner longer? Thank you!!
@mortenoen4345 жыл бұрын
The main difference is in resistance. SS is half the resistance of Kanthal. But the resistance in SS increase with rising temperature, making it easy to get going, but not too hard further in the draw. I prefer Kanthal because Ohm is the same, and I use flat wire to make it start heating up quick. How long they are clean depends on the juice and how much energi you put through it. A juice with lots of succrose or sugars will clog up a coil in no time if you hit it hard i.e. higher than 60-70 Watts.

@@jameswoods9635 I appreciate your kind words, but the thing is, this is expensive to do. I spent $6-8000 and worked for free for over a year to make this happpen. And now I need to make money:-) I earned about $2000 on my two RDAs, and that did not even cover my investment. It was fun and well worth it, but I could not keep up. Sorry.

Hey Morten do you have snow in Goblin Valley ? We haven't seen a white Xmas in Edinburgh for a decade. I was in Poland in 2017 ( Jan 10 ) & it was - 21 °C this year same time it was 8 °C. The world will soon have no winter - I estimate within 10 years. I came to Europe to experience winter not 35°C summers. I could have stayed in New Zealand & being slowly fried if I had wanted that. I hope you are well. Tim

Hi Tim! Weather has been strange this year. We had snow in October and November, then it went away through December and January. But now winter is here, that's for sure:-) This whole mess was due to some winds from Sahara mixing with stuff from the Golf Stream. I have to say I like it better than 2010 and 2011, when Arctic jet stream gave us -26 C for 4 months:-) I think they called it The North Atlantic Occilation or something. And 4 years ago we had snow and ice for 6 and a half month! I did not see the sun for 3 months, and my daughter went bonkers! Anyways, I would not worry. Polar bears are doing better then ever, the last polar expedition we had almost froze to death, and there is more ice on the North Pole than for many years. (That's the reason the expedition people almost died. The Iecbreakers could not pick them up at the rendevous point. They got stuck also). Well, that is the weather report. Cheers mate!

@@mortenoen434 Thanks Morten I am worried as unfortunately I believe a lot of climate change is due to CFC refrigerants which like R12 is officially banned but still being used. Dupont knew in the 19 50s that R12 would damage the environment yet still they manufactured it despite having a non lethal alternative. I am glad you are thinking things are OK but for me growing up in New Zealand the hole in the ozone layer has caused many deaths from melanoma, my girlfriends Mum being one last year. Just now Auckland burn time is only 7 mins. My friend in Warsaw said his grandchildren have never seen a white Xmas in 10 years. I just want to see snow Morten, maybe I should come to Goblin Valley. Do you have Airbnb there ? BTW my cousin is a refrigeration engineer so he was the source of the R12 facts. I was with him last year when he bought some R12 as lots of cafes cant afford new refrigeration so keep using the deadly stuff. Did you know ( of course you do ) that every refrigeration device on earth is slowly leaking the gas into the environment. I really do hope I am wrong & it is nothing to worry about. You are a very positive person Morten.

BTW I wasn't trying to poo poo your weather report. I am glad the polar bears are doing well & there is ice on the North Pole & I hope I am wrong about everything I said. Nothing would make me happier than to be wrong about CFCs and Dupont. I hope your book is going well. A friend of mine in New Zealand has just finished one & another friend in Warsaw just published his 3rd book of poetry. I grew up in a house full of books, no doubt like yourself. Thanks for your time Morten.

@@timj5786 Hi! I rarely take offence of anything:-) I love when people disagree, because it is a chance to learn something, and I did not know about conditions i Poland or NZ before you talked about it. But as you seemes to know, I'm not a fan of the UN climate models for one simple reason; By the time we need to do something about the climate, we will already have had three world wars, two global pandemics, death of polinating insects, a super volcano, a hit from outer space and a rather nasty solar flare. Climate change is just not on my radar yet;-) In other words: It's the wrong catastrophe. But I love weather like any Norwegian do, and I love hearing about weather in other countries too. Take are Tim, and stay safe when nCoV hits. We have it in Finland and Sweden now, and I hear it's in Australia too.

@@mortenoen434 I know what you mean exactly but my partner is very worried about the environment & I am surprised by the warm European weather. So I thought I would ask someone who lives in a cold area how is the weather ? That person being yourself. Your comments have enlightenment my perspective of such things. Thank you.

Thanks Tim, but I am currently trying to make a living by writing another novel (including vaping, of course), at that takes 1-3 years. I will be back if something new comes along, but so far the new stuff is mostly pod systems. Oh, the Kali 2.0 RDA has some realy cool air flow properties if you use flat wire coils and mount them real low :-)

@@timj5786 Thanks. I can be back in a second, but untill then, just watch the videos and extrapolate the knowledge to new RDAs and you will know what to do. Just always start with placing the coils too low regarding to the air flow and work your way untill you find the position you like. Best of luck!
