Highly respect you show it how it is brother. Regardless what many say. Reloading and casting equipment just clutters. As long as you can focus on the task is pretty much what counts. Else were spending hours maintaining a museum like reloading bench instead of actually reloading lol

Thanks. I tend to find videos of actual reloading dull, so I don't do them unless I am showing something I haven't seen someone else do, or putting scattered knowledge into one visual. I should probably do one on work flow while reloading. That would show it cleaned up, because I think a certain amount of clutter adds up to dangerous mistakes.

Yes. Some of us dont have the luxury of claiming a parts of the house to designate to firearms (called being married). So us men are forced to dwell our hobbies in a cold concrete less comfortable garage.... along with every needed tools to upkeep a home and automotives even then the wives use our space as storage which forces us to a dunce conor... One day Ill upgrade to a shed but thats still not as comfy as a climate controlled room lolz

That looks like home! Only thing I see missing is the coffee containers that every reloader has stacked in the corner. Glad I never put a vise on my bench. I’d have even more stuff on it

If I had pointed the camera downward you would have seen a couple.

Probably not worth the postage. I do like them though. I also like the square tins that tea comes in. I have a tin 5 gallon pail with a lid that says something about pickled eggs that I keep shotgun hulls in.

I know, right? A few houses ago, there were some wooden kegs about 20" high that were for ludefisk or something like that too.

My reloading bench stays pretty clean, but that's only because I have a separate workbench, and the workbench is much larger. The workbench gathers a lot of clutter.

If the bullets fit into the brass then the place is clean enough.

As I said to someone else-- I am pushing enough "clever ideas" that I am probably going to make a smart mistake by overthinking something and pulling an Icarus. I may as well at least eliminate the chance for a few dumb mistakes by cleaning up and not putting in the wrong primers or the wrong powder.

lol, every honest reloader has the same setup, ha ha. I finally broke down and begged a carpenter friend to help me make some shelving and desk STILL looks pretty similar.

Sure is an improvement from working in the driveway and laundry room.

I still do those, but the garage is mostly my space. Generally I have it set up fairly efficiently for configurable work space. This was close to as bad as it has gotten, and I've cleaned it up since that video, mostly. I'm Grateful to have a place to get things done, and not have to share it with other people's clutter.

Shelving. get those cheap erector set shelves at home depot, people put them out in the garage for their canned goods. It's not that you are disorganized with clutter, You are multitasking at different periods of the time-space continuum, Organization is the keyword as the whole of your life may change is one thing is out of place. Keep up the good fight Bro. Dave.

I have a few of those, and will set them up. The bench is usually a lot tidier than that, except I had to take a lot of stuff off of shelving to sort it, then agreed to store some stuff for a non profit I work with, so didn't have the shelf space to put them back. Every Tuesday, my wife and I improve one area around our home for 2-3 hours, and the progress feels great. This week was taking a few things out of the garage. I have the frames for 4'x4' industrial shelving, but need some more plywood. I am going to put a couple up on the back porch and cover them with siding to make a big storage cabinet thing. That will clear up a lot of garage space from things which don't need to be in a controlled climate.

What? You're supposed to clean your reloading bench before making videos? You guys never tell me nuthin! ;)

No. It was more about showing what we really have. I was goading Charlie into showing us his setup. He had an interestng concept with a round island for his presses. If I had it correctly, the idea was to make it work for having several people working on reloading together. Maybe one person castng, the kids sorting brass, and a couple people working presses. I've done that with a couple people, but it's a fine line for how much team work is good, and how much is a dangerous distraction. I clean the bench before reloading to avoid dumb mistakes. I'm too likely to make smart mistakes to be able to afford dumb ones too.
