Love it. I'm always impressed by how quietly capable your dad is. He doesn't shout about his achievements and almost has to have them coaxed out of him. I love your chemistry as well

Wow, brilliant story and these are not just rare but in fact total unicorns. They were foreseen to share some elements of construction with related the contemporary Saab 9000 and Fiat Croma (all of which are rare now) but in reality it wasn’t as much as planned. The 8:32 Thema are even rarer. Your dads got a great car there. I’d love a go in that!

All the cars that used the Type 4 chassis were nice cars Thema, Croma, Alfa164 and Saab 9000. The Thema was a very good handling and comfortable car and my father in law had one the same colour as yours. His was a non turbo 1986 model, but it went nicely enough. I went with the Alfa164 and owned three of them. That's a lovely example !

That's a nice lancia thema I think the top spec one came with a ferrari engine and a crazy rear spoiler very quick back in the day

Love a Lancia Thema - there’s something about retro Italian cars. Owned many an Alfa and Fiat but never a Lancia 🤔. Cheers Amber 👍

Thanks. Yes most people think Lancia Integrale but not this one, I know the Integrale is next level, who wouldn’t want one etc, but this Lancia is still very cool and probably rarer! I just love retro cars! Thanks for watching and the comment!

Another great video. It looks like Lancias version of the fiat croma. I worked with fiat croal and croal in Edinburgh back in 1985/6. It’s a lovely car. Would like to see more about it in future videos.

The Croma is actually Fiat's version of the Thema, not the other way around. If I recall correctly, Fiat took ownership of Lancia and found out what they were working on together with Saab, and promptly decided to scrap their own upcoming large sedan.

Had a Fiat Croma Turbo and a 164 V6 which shared the same chassis. Great handling things. The Fiat literally rotted away before my eyes though
