In a very operatic way! Even when the Egiptian fashion started by 1922, 4 years later we still have a lot of songs related!

Another great recording here! Though, the orchestra bits especially sound rather warbly. It's still quite nice, all.things considered.

Wonder if they're trying to create a Middle Eastern atmosphere. Otherwise, could be the recording quality, which seems a bit off, considering the reasonable surface condition.
