The knife shown in this video is not currently available, and I have no ETA on when it will be. As for other items, use the internet.
If I do not have positive control, the gun is unloaded. If the pistol is on me, it is loaded.
This clip is from the video vault in my Keep the Blaze Alive Coaching Squad (aka “The Squad”). The Squad has three levels of membership, and we meet weekly online with a 2-hour livestream where I answer questions and tell stories, and the Tier 1 members get two monthly two-hour Zoom calls where we talk face-to-face. I also host two 3-day events per year for my Tier 1 members. Learn more about The Squad at / coachingsquad

Pat, first off thank you for your 22 years of service. Second , thank you for being a top tier soldier and not gatekeeping valuable information. I’ve spent most my life absolutely enamored by folks such as yourself. my idols growing up were sergeant first class Randy Shughart and Master sergeant Gary Gordan . I never had the honor of serving this country and my heart goes out to all of those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom . I’m so grateful for you and your peers who’ve decided to break that barrier and teach us citizens valuable life skills on and off the range. With my deepest gratitude thank you sir it’s an honor to learn from you . Thanks for everything best wishes ROCK ON 🤘

@@realitycheck4158let us get a reality check. 1. That's his laundry room. Not the primary entry point to his house. 2. The number of 'nice set up but I know more' shit from dudes like you kill me. You do you, the Delta Operator does him. 3. I doubt he leaves the firearms on that shelf once it's time to shut down for the evening. As a matter of fact, he spoke on this very topic in one of his other vids or vlogs. 4. Let's say, someone does break in using this entry. Are you suggesting, the HD rifle is not going to be the first tool PM would go for? Instead, his 43 is the HD tool, and he is SOL, because some idiot broke in, and saw a 43 sitting there, and decided... "Hmmmmm, let me take and use this instead of the double stack 9 I broke in with" 5. Re-read from number 1, this time, knowing the tool to be used in a HD situation is a long gun... be it PCC or rifle caliber.

Same philosophy on knife and light here, but even if unloading a pistol (or two) before placing it on that shelf will (somewhat) diminish the danger of it being used against you by a home invader, it’s still an inviting candidate for smash and grab theft by placing it next to a windowed door leading to outside. Maybe a wall mounted thumbprint safe right there is the way to go. Me, every gun but one hidden one is locked up if it isn’t on my belt for home carry or staged nearby (AR-15) or unless I’m dry firing and drilling its functions throughout the day as I work on my computer. Thanks for posting, appreciate all your content.

Love hunting and fishing , camping being outdoors period, but have children still at home and grandchildren as well so I spend alot of time working to keep everything rolling so I don't have alot of time to get out to do anything much but work, I like the stuff you put out for others to see and it's motivation for me to buy some dumbbells and start working out a little bit again and learn alot of things from you that I didn't know or just had wrong, greatly appreciated for the knowledge you share.

@@mikeossola6397 Scenario: It is nighttime, you are approached by a suspicious individual in a parking lot. It is very disorienting to suddenly and unexpectedly be flashed with a bright light at night. This allows you to gain control over the situation and figure out what they want without using any force against the other person, in case they meant you no harm. If the person was trying to hurt you, the sudden flash can briefly blind the person and give you precious seconds to quickly strike them and then boogie on out of there, hopefully without having to draw your weapon. Same, my wife uses these cloth hair ties that are about 1/8" thick and elastic and they work great for lights and knives.

Always enjoy learning others EDC choices! While I carry a gun every day, I also carry an IFAK. I wear slim fit pants and can’t do the ankle holsters. I’ve found that KUHL pants work perfectly, they have what they call a “stealth cell phone pocket” on the side of the pants. It’s an open top pocket that is very minimalistic and you can hardly see it. I carry a pair of micro chest seals in one, and the other one a CAT tourniquet, Celox rapid hemostatic gauze, decompression needle, and 2 pairs of nitrile gloves, all held together by ranger band. You can’t see them, they don’t make the pants bulk out like cargo pants, and I forget they’re even there. Nice to have in case something happens, because hey life happens. Chances are small that it will be from an attacker or self defense situation, far more likely to need IFAK gear than a gun in every day life: car accidents, outdoor activities, power tools, etc. Needing first aid trauma gear is far more likely than needing a gun. I carry both and am trained with both. Just my $0.02 on what works for me!

I am daily grateful that I live somewhere I don't need to worry about carrying a gun. Cool video though, and I will continue to watch.

Another great video. I’d think about doing a double cylinder deadbolt on that door if it leads directly outside. Too easy to smash and unlock so close to the edc shelf

My EDC is eerily similar! For both my G19 and G43, I like the Q series minimalist holster. One caveat to those is that when you come back from the range, they are very warm when you put the gun back in next to your body. Other than that, it would increase safety because you can clear the weapon without it coming out of the holster. I am going to get some O rings just after seeing that nifty trick. I carry a Amazon cheapo WowTac flashlight that is super tiny, but kicks out a LOT of Lumens and has a magnetic backend so I can stick it to my hood when I am working on my car. I was thinking about moving to a fixed blade vs lockblade, I have to weigh the pros and cons. I like the window breaker/seatbelt cutter I have now. Very cool! thanks for sharing!

Very cool love the edc bro. The only eh I would give is always keep ur gun loaded on or off of you but I think I get why u keep them unloaded in the house. Either way great vid.

Summer carry: Ruger LCP max in a Vedder LighTuck holster, Streamlight microstream flashlight and a Leatherman skeletool or a small folder knife. Everything else depends on color matching mostly. Like which watch and wallet I use each day varies.

This guy cracks me up. Mostly 4.0 but that gun safety at home though, especially with kids in the picture. Wall hanging gun safe with key/keyless access might be a better way to go.
