Hello friends! Today I am showing you how I store my everyday makeup on my vanity. I'll take you on a tour and you'll see just how I organized each drawer. I also describe exactly how my father made me a pretty DIY lighted mirror.

I love seeing a makeup collection nicely organized like yours is. When everything is jumbled up in drawers, things get lost and are unusable. I figure if one loves one’s makeup collection it should be handled with care and stored carefully. Thanks for sharing this!

Oh and flatwear trays make great organizers. I use one to separate my eyeliners, mascaras, and eyebrow palmades and pencils!

Go to your local dollar tree a buy a roll of kitchen grip fabric and cut them to place under your container inside the drawers so they don’t slide when opening :))) that’s what I did anyways and it worked

you can also get poster tack. Its like a putty that you can put in the corners and it will stick to the bottom of the drawer

For the drawers that don’t fully close, it’s not normal. Check the metal bars on each side of the drawer to make sure they are flush with the front part. There also small screws on the inside that attach the metal so they don’t slide around. If you’ve done all this when putting it together, something is not correct.

What a nice setup for your makeup! Those organizers are great! What a sweet Daddy you have to help you setup that lovely mirror set!! It's too bad those drawers don't close well! What a pain! I end up using those decorative drinking cups that come in the bathroom sets for lip liners, eyeliners, etc!! Ok, Risa! I thought I was doing bad with having too many lippies that need to be purged! Maybe we should setup a time when all of us who need to purge our lip products all do it on the same day at the same time so we can support each other!! ;-)

I love this video,your vanity is gorgeous and your make up is fantastic,thank you that you all wanted to share that with us.i realy love how you organised your make-up,and you realy have a beautifull collection,one you can be very proud of.It’s so nice that your favorite brands are so well organised by product and by brand,so you never have to search for a product.you have a big collection,but your orgenization is so well that it looks great,and you have perfect holders for different items.You always tell us that you have a weakness about eyeshadowpallets,and lipproducts,and you can deffinetly see that,but I never saw it so well organised before.Thank you for sharing this fantastic video with us❤️

Love your setup Risa! I don’t have the space right now for a vanity but I have twins who are juniors in high school and I have plans for both of their bedrooms when they go to college lol. So for now I have 2 of the tall Alex drawers with makeup and a bunch of acrylic drawers from The Container Store and my mirror on top so I need to stand to do my makeup and it’s in the corner but it has good light with 2 windows on either side and a lighter Riki mirror. I constantly reorganize (I like to do it!) and you’ve given me some great ideas. Love this!

This is what I use to line my Alex drawers. It keeps those organizers, which I also have from moving and sliding around. It comes in different colors also. Duck Select Grip 12 In. x 10 Ft. shelf Liner. You can get it at Walmart, Target, etc. It comes in a roll, very inexpensive and can be cut to fit. Love your collection and set up👍

Hi Risa thank you for the tour! I will be checking out the cosmetic organizers. Love them. I recently did an area in my bathroom using floating shelves on the wall to store some my makup. I would like to use the organizers for the empty vanity drawers I now have.

Your vanity looks so beautiful as well as organized. Could you do a tour of your skincare area? I have the same problem with my Ikea drawers not closing completely. I thought my husband had done something wrong when he put them together. I would love to know if someone knows a solution.

I need a couple more organizers, as things have been overflowing lately! Thanks for this video. I really enjoy vanity tours! Whenever I see these everything is always very clean. How do you do it?!? I MUST have everything within closed drawers to help things stay cleaner. Between powders, facial sprays, and hair sprays, it seems impossible to keep things super clean.

Great video - I was waiting for this since you announced it on Instagram ! Re the drawer where you mentioned that you wished the organizer stayed put, if you pick up some heavy duty velcro (Walmart, Home Depot, etc.), you can stick a strip on each of the organizer and drawer and it should stay put when you open and close the drawer. Also, would you show us your filming area one day ? Thanks.

Ty Risa. I am remodleing and since my children are grown I get a room to use as a beauty ,and dressing room. Very excited. It will be all white except for my blue suede couch and black and white pictures Marilyn. Turning 51 in Sept. Won't be so bad...ha Could you tell me the name of the wider table top. One good thing about it having your makeup table in bedroom (I had mine in bathroom) we had to keep it all clean an organized!! As always love seeing you beautiful 💝

Risa....The Velvetizer is simply UD's translucent repackaged, so just keep it and use it as a translucent :) Great tour from one who also uses a corner of her bedroom for her dressing table :)

Use little double stick Velcro to keep those acrylic organizers in place in your drawers. Great video!

I own Sonny and Impressions Vanity Company storage containers and the Impressions Vanity Co.'s are so much nicer they are versatile and can be changed to accommodate your needs for particular products. I just find them so much better in quality and versatility. Sonny drawer inserts are not changeable at all and they are more expensive and not half as nice.

An idea for your Ikea drawer where your lipstick storage slides back: Stuff an old towel in the back the drawer to fill up space. Voila!

I have lined my drawers with a plastic mesh type drawer liner and it helps keep things from shifting.

Sometimes yes, lipsticks can go bad. If anything smells off, I toss it.

How weird your drawers don't close completely. When assembling, did you make shure that the sliders came completely to the front of the drawers before screwing them in place? I have three sets of these and have no problems whatsoever, nor know of any other youtubers with the same problem as you.

My husband assembled it so yes, there is a good chance that it wasn’t done 100% properly. He’s not the most handy! Lol!
