In this video I list out my favorite producers in the Barolo region to help you continue building your wine collection. I have yet to go wrong with wines from these folks. Please note that this is NOT a video about the BEST Barolo producers as there are plenty of wines I have yet to try. These recommendations are purely based on my Barolo tasting activities through the years.
Just in case you don't want to watch this video (which wouldn't make any sense to me), the faves are listed alphabetically below:
Elvio Cogno
Diego Conterno
Elio Grasso
Renato Ratti
Paolo Scavino
Alessandro Veglio
GD Vajra
Vietti
Enjoy.

I was thinking about buying a couple of bottles of Elio Grasso. You said it's a great wine, so I'll definitely giving it a go. Cheers!

Thanks for the note Nuno. You'll have to let me know how the wine is when you dig in.

Awesome list. I just orders some Barolo from La Spinetta ja Pio Cesare and looking forward to tasting them.

Thanks so much Henri. I probably should have included La Spinetta in my list as I have tasted a bunch of their wines. Never tried anything from Pio Cesare, you'll have to report back with your reviews!

Elvio Cogno Ravera's are tannin bomb's that need lots of cellaring. The Elio Grasso wines are great. Seek out the 2011 and the 2013. Happy drinking.

Thanks for the notes. I haven't noticed the tannins on the Cogno wines sticking out but will see if that applies to the next experience.

Travelling to La Morra in June. Can you recommend some of your favorite wineries to visit?

Am very jealous! I have never been to Piemonte but some wineries that I would be targeting for a visit would be Renato Ratti, Marcarini, Mauro Veglio and Revello Fratelli.
