Favorite song is (O)rdinary at the moment. Just really love the daft punk feel from A7x, they pull it together exceptionally well and cohesively in context to the album and the story they're telling.

Mattel is a strong contender for favorite song. Cosmic still gets me with the feels. Amazing use of tension and the 808s hit hard for the payoff.

@@dicodec Mattel is the maker of Barbie dolls, the song is basically comparing pop culture, trends, fitting in, being fake, and overall interaction with Barbie dolls and playing pretend Edit: if you look at the second verse again, it's basically describing the contents and construction of a Barbie toy box

It's worth noting that Syn, on top of getting that synthesised tone also put the guitar through autotune, which I think is how it's got that real 'stepped' sounding effect. It's bonkers sounding!

They did some really weird things this album that just really added to the overall experience imo. I love how weird and proggy everything is too, G, (O) rdinary, and (D)eath are so fucking fun to listen to.

I think it’s interesting that the melody for the bridge is one of the Rev’s, off of a Pinkly Smooth track called Drop D. Beautiful Morning pulls from it as well

I was wondering how they would follow up The Stage, which was very ambitious musically. And they didn't disappoint! Life is But a Dream is a masterpiece. It won't be for the metal "purists" or whatever, but it's just so damn good at being all over the place while still having a lot of cohesion across the album

Mattel is my absolute favorite from the album. In fact it's even in my all time favorites from A7X . I love everything about it especially that charging guitar sound they made with the pedal. Also I like how you break down the sound, it's really cool to hear everything individually! Great video, can't wait for more!

I love that you comment on the layers/stems individually. Really helps to be able to hear them isolated. Usually you only start to hear the intricacies after many listens when it's the full mix

There’s also an Easter egg in the line “Pull my string and make me cry”. Is a call back to a side project that The Rev and synyster gates worked on called “Pinkly Smooth”. Specifically in the track “Drop D”.

Loving these reactions, Being a DBC member I always feel biased but genuinely this is my favourite album released. Ever. Personally, Mattel, Cosmic and the G(O)(D) Trilogy are my favourites, with (O)rdinary JUST topping that list ever so slightly, its just honestly a feelgood vibe and a bop! Liked

This song has so many layers and they change it up every twenty seconds you have no idea what’s coming next! And I freakin love it. One of my favorite songs off the album too. This and Game Over have strong Unholy Confessions and City of Evil vibes. 🤘🏻

The vocals ruin it for me and pretty much the entire first half of the album, but the second half is alot better. Cosmic, Easier, and O(rdinary) are by far my favorites from the album
