FYI ... these recipes are adaptations made with ingredients easily available and accessible. The okonomiyaki usually uses dashi stock. In a pinch, you can use any stock you have at hand, just like I have.

Great recipes. Love the idea of making the rice cakes with rice paper.

Thanks Joanne, I did try them with the Korean rice cakes (they were the frozen ones from an Asian store). I loved the texture, but it had a synthetic taste I didnt really care for. I'm very eager to try my hand at making the rice cakes too ... someday.

where do you get the deep fried soy puffs? or do you make them yourself? thank you!

Hi Priya, I usually buy them from Costco. But I have seen them in Asian grocery stores too. Look in the refrigerated goods section.
