Hi Lauren! Thank you for posting your videos and sharing your life with us. I'm from Puerto Rico and found your channel yesterday while searching how to frost fake cakes for a Harry Potter gift I'm preparing (trying to recreate Hagrid's cake on a circular box). Your video style and personality are the best! I too have the same Emeril's kids cookbook! I prepared his scrambled eggs and pancakes the most when I was younger... which makes me think I should visit memory lane and prepare them again for the nostalgia. Thanks for the cookbook recommendations. If you are accepting packages/gifts, I would love to send you a Puerto Rican (Boricua) cookbook for your collection. You have shared with us your books, which I will definitely be buying a few to add to mine, and would love to share with you a staple cookbook of our culture. I feel like I’m breathing even more heavily in the first episodes 😅 I used to be a daycare workers and I would come in at 1pm and get all the toddlers to sleep. This story seemed relevant when I started telling it…

@@LaurenMcGowan milk momofuku milk bar, Ruffage by Abra Berens, and the food lab are books i would recommend, though milk bar is not beginner friendly.
