i think the hardest part about trying to better yourself when you're so used to being in the dumps is remembering it. somehow i keep forgetting the changes i want to make, the life that i want, the person i want to be. which is so ironic it makes me worry that i'm the only one with this problem. it's the opposite of what makes sense, but i just get lost in the small details and need a reminder of the bigger picture. but what if you forget to even remember?
i needed a way to remember my goals and remember the way i want to live my life and i stumbled upon this method of setting intentions. a way to refocus, and remind myself to be intentional. to set a greater vision of how i want my days to be, and then to create sub-goals to achieve that greater vision. repeating this allows me to spend my time more intentionally and also adds up to properly lived days. on top of that, setting intentions is not too hard of a habit to maintain soi find myself doing it pretty often. and when i perform this habit, i usually end up with days where i feel fulfilled and feel like i lived a day to its full potential.
it seems to work for me and i haven't really seen anyone talk about this before so i thought i'd talk about it, in case someone else out there is struggling with the same problems as me. i hope this can lead you to a better you and a better life, one that you are striving towards.
