I married a filipina, we had a child together when our child turned three years old we had our child tested for Autism proof came back - Positive for Autism 2 weeks later my beautiful filipina wife ABANDONED US. She left our child with me to raise alone Today my child is 12 years old She did not attend our divorce hearing - never showed up for the hearing. She did not show up for the custody hearing She called me 4 months later Just to wish us luck Never heard from her since it has been 9 years now since I heard from her. She was ashamed to have given birth to a imperfect child, is how she told me. It took me a few minutes to pickup my jaw from the floor after she told me this. Our beautiful child is a gift from God Himself, and HE never makes mistakes ever. I have been Blessed to have this child I am his Father and Daddy and now Mommy My child looks up to me like I am a Super Hero - I am Superman - my child calls me. [ so cute ] Naw... I am just a proud Parent is all a filipina woman is the BEST

double pane windows?
@DraftedByTheMan
@DraftedByTheMan 27 күн бұрын
@@dennisdragomir7572 Double pane windows, also known as double glazed windows, consist of two layers of glass separated by a space that is typically filled with air or an inert gas like argon. This design improves insulation by creating a barrier that reduces the transfer of heat between the interior and exterior of a building. Here are some key features and benefits: 1. **Insulation**: The air or gas-filled space between the panes acts as an insulator, reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, thus enhancing energy efficiency. 2. **Noise Reduction**: The two layers of glass help to dampen sound, providing better noise insulation compared to single pane windows. 3. **Condensation Control**: Double pane windows reduce the occurrence of condensation on the interior glass surface because the interior pane is closer to room temperature. 4. **Durability**: The construction of double pane windows makes them more durable and less prone to breaking than single pane windows. 5. **Cost Savings**: The improved energy efficiency can lead to lower heating and cooling costs over time, offsetting the initial higher cost of installation. These windows are commonly used in both residential and commercial buildings to enhance comfort, reduce energy consumption, and increase property value.

Same happens in Thailand also many times. One of the old expats gave me great advice. Only rent and never get married. You had enough of the neighbours. Rent somewhere else. You had enough of your girlfriend. Get a new one. It's very simple and you have more options with little risk. 😀

Their (racist) governments create this insecurity for families. Reciprocity should be the ruling principle, but it is not, due to the racist governments in Asia. Over 300,000 Thais have U.S. green cards. They can buy land and houses all they want, in their own name, even if they NEVER intend to become U.S. citizens. They have FULL civil and property rights in the USA. Why would Thailand as an 'ally" treat American expats without the same reciprocity, especially those who are married to Thais and even have children there?!! It's insanely immoral and unfair treatment.
@pip6136

David Brown sorry David. You don't understand how a Monarchy works. The king is a god on earth. His subjects are his children. How could you ever been his child? I'm guessing you're not Asain? Our monarchy is different in England but gives me an understanding of Thailand. Having a president. You wouldn't understand. It's not the Thai government doing this. It's their belief structure. Don't be offended by them. It's nothing personal. England has been a very close ally of Thailand before your country even existed. The English have the same issues as you Americans. 😊
@davidb2206
@davidb2206 6 жыл бұрын
We're talking about RECIPROCITY in property rights and green cards/permanent residency. It has nothing to do with the monarchy (in either place). It has everything to do with the ultra-racist Chinese who control Thailand at the top. ALL of the Thai prime ministers and top military generals have come from ethnic Chinese (Teow-chu) families, such as the Shinawatras, for example. The Chinese are among THE most racist people on earth, and it shows in their visa policies and non-reciprocal treatment in civil and property rights for Western expats.

I ask her if she loves him and she said no. Yes its indeed the truth but she said I am willing to be with him forever to show my gratitude to him for what he did to my family. So you see I think she loves that guy in some ways and to her own ways.Love is not just having sex and showing affections in one person. Love had different faces so dont be a fool and be thankful that your status is different from those unfortunate person. Dont look at it in negative sides but look at it in positive sides.

True story, guy was living in the states while his girlfriend was back home in the Philippines. He was sending her money so they could have a house built. She'd send him photo's of the progress...and tell him she needed money for the walls...then needed money for the roof...all the while keeping him updated on the progress of their house. The bills kept adding up but after every request for money there came the photos to show the house slowly being built. Once the house was built he finished up his work and flew to see his girl and his new house, oddly she didn't come to the airport to meet him. So he walks onto the porch of his new house and knocks...shocked to find somebody else living in his house. He then asked why this man was in his house and was informed that his property was the next lot over completely devoid of any construction. Seems his girl was sending him updated photo's of the neighbors house being built.

All foreigners married to a Filipina should be aware that the laws regarding property ownership in the Philippines by a foreigner changed in 2014, before this date a foreigner could claim half the value of there property if they split from there wife under the conjugal property law. However after the 2014 law came in you are now entitled to nothing if your wife sells the property. I know this for fact as i have lost all my property to my estranged Filipina wife who lives in abroad, She snuck back to the Philippines last November and sold the property without telling me. i found out when the new owner turned up on the doorstep, of course i didn't let him on to the property , i told him to get a court order . A few months later i had to go to Manila for a few days, when i got back this new owner had broken in and had about 20 work men on the property doing work. I knew i had lost, i could have gone to court and spent a shit load of money but i knew i would loose as i can not find anywhere on the net any foreigner who has really. won in property battles here in the Philippines. For all you armchair lawyers that think im wrong about the law , Go and see your own attorney now if you are married to a filipina and you have property in the Philippines. You need to get a legal contract between you and your wife stating that if you split up all money from the sale of the property you have invested in will be shared equally. if you don't have such a contract the FILIPINA HAS ALL THE RIGHTS AND YOU WILL LOOSE EVERYTHING, sure you can fight in court if you are willing to spend many hundreds of thousands of pesos, but without that contract you will loose, and even with a contract i would not bet that you are 100 per cent safe . Unfortunately i know a lot of foreigners this has happened to, and it still continues to happen. Some foreigners when this happens just give up, unfortunately for me i had everything invested in my property here, and if my estranged wife thinks that she has won and i have give up and there will be no consequences to her actions , then she never knew me that well. I have consulted with 12 attorneys on this, 9 of them did not know about the new law and advised me everything would be okay, an 3 advised me of THE new law and said sorry you can not win unless i had said contract mentioned above. Welcome to the philippines.

Hahaha, Lol. I'm sorry this happened to you, but I'm also happy that their President doesn't allow foreigners to come to their country to take advantage of their women, and leave them homeless. In the U.S we now ever than before have a grave homeless problem in all the states. I have to respect any man, who respect his women, and look out for their well being. That's what all men should do in every country. Not let foreigners come there to take advantage of these women b/c of their financial hardship. Philippines are very nice ppl, and I hope they stay this way. I travel a lot but sometimes take Cruises b/c of the good treatment that the Philippines provide the guest, although they're working to send money home to family. Some have told me, and I always leave an additional tip just for them outside of the daily gratuity tip charged to the room. These ppl work very hard.

You are 100% correct on that...the courts and police will always side with a Filipino man or woman, you are in THEIR COUNTRY and have no rights whatsoever. They will smile while taking your money until its not funny, and when you have no more money you are now useless to them, and they will do the same to the next SUCKER Pinays make a good living scamming foreigners, that's their job and they are very good at it. I've heard this same story a hundred times. Foreigners need to stop thinking with their dicks.

to some expat who want to marry filipina all i can say is 1.when it comes to house, rent first and see how the relation goes. don't go over board, you can buy a house if u want but look 4 affordable one and make sure to stay there 4 long period of time. 2. marry someone that is close enough to your age..for old man to marry young gal at 20's is absurd, for lust surely its OK but 4 love I don't think it will work unless, maybe if your at 40's but but for 55 and above, I don't think so. 3. look 4 a women that has a conservative view of life, I'm a conservative my self and its amazing when I came here in america, American conservative are more conservative than we are. I don't know how you do it but use your instinct, normally they r women who don't smoke, seldom go to a bar,knows how to work 4 a family and simple as it is when it comes to clothing, food and dings etc,,, ..,,., i can add more but i think this r d very basic thing to consider,.,.,

Yes it happens, mostly to guys who dont think or care about their gf or spouse. Never should a guy buy a gf a house. You are correct in the ownership issues. The only legal way around it is buying it in a filipino name and leasing it 25 year lease. You still dont own the land, but you own the buildings. Depending on your age ( the guy was 75?) you dont need to worry about the length. It seems if you are like that guy, karma gets you. The majority of the guys who have these troubles fall in love with bar girls, who have 2-3 more bf lol

he truth is filipina love foreign men just they also love filipina men as well. If you meet a young beautiful girl in the Philippines and have been in relationship with a man normally she will tell a foreign guy she has not had sex for two or five years all will say this to you . This is intended to keep your mind of the things that she is doing when you are away .. If a foreign guy work in another country and have a home in the Philippines most time his wife will move her lover in the home while the husband in away and will take care of her family and lover with the money the husband send .. Please be careful who you choose. There are three kind of woman 1. who will be with only one man 2. who will be with her husband and her lover 3. who will be with anyone and have many lover.

Loneliness is something that we foreigners deal with here because of the language barrier. Going weeks without clear communication is detrimental to our health. The basic conversation between you and your spouse/gf is not enough to meet our requirements for a healthy lifestyle. I know now why the expat groups are so important. I wasn’t interested at first but now it’s vital if I plan on staying here . Speak on this please.
@amadoparragua6989
@amadoparragua6989 2 жыл бұрын
Good and honest relationships, it's broad but we know what that entails, would play a big part to get around the area of language concerns. Acceptance of being it is whatever is, may also help, because really, they are not native English speakers. Obviously many expats got over it with spouses who had very little English or even none at all when they started. If the ability to speak at least understandable English for a wife wont help or isn't enough, it's hard to think of what else would help in the area of communication which is you're right, legit important.

We are building a house in Cagayan de Oro now, it's for my gf but obviously I plan to go live there myself one day in early retirement. And this is my worst nightmare, I don't mean that my gf will sell the house, I'm not worried about that, no what I mean is having a neighbour that plays loud music, I probarbly would invite them for a drink and poison them.

My gf is from a very poor family and first time I visited there their house was 4 weeks prior to that completely destroyed by a typhoon, but she never asked me for anything. In all the years I know her she only asked me for money once, and that was when her brother needed treatment for dengue. I trust her with all my heart and I want her to be the owner of our house because I don't want her to get into problems if anything happens to me. If this turns out wrong, I will not blame her, but my bad judgment. btw I know people who met their gf in a bar and got very happy with them.

Leeuwy Good Luck and God Bless. Ok, if you can afford to lose some money you are giving her just think of it as a GIFT and I hope she returns many more blessings and a gift of love and eternal friendship in return. But here is something to think about. I worked five years for my ex fiancee to created many businesses and build apartments and buy a farm. Without my authorization she built the apartments on land that she said cost me $6000 but turned out to be free land given to squatters, across the street from her fathers compound. Her and I have many EMAILS arguing not to start building the Apartments until after the Beach lots were paid off. That is a different story.... only two days after I went back to work in Baghdad to pay off the beach lot contract I just signed with her as "CO-Buyer" she and the Real Estate Faggot switched the contract to her name only and she only made 6 months payment of 24. But I have many EMAILS to me from her TELLING me, in an often angry tone, NOT to forget my beach lot payments. Which, I never did. She said she located a farm and I would need to send $10,000 for it. Just 2 months before I came back on vacation to visit her she told me she sold the farm for a $2000 profit and used $12,000 as a down Payment for a Condo I did not want. Also about the same time is when I discovered I owed a hardware store $7000 for cement and materials to build the APARTMENTS I did not want Yet. In my mind that project was later after the Restaurant business was supposed to open on a NAVY base in co-operation with her sister and the chief. I was told rent was $108 for the ware house we would convert into an NCO type club. YES, I believed this family. I was military and they were all Philippine Navy. But guess what? The whole tribe turned out to be pirates. They opened a Massage Parlor with the money I was sending.... for brother. They probably sent 4 Nieces and nephews to college too. A different Brother died in the USA, he jumped ship in LA and ran to RENO and died there, and I gave them $2000 to help the family out.. But guess what I discovered after I left her? The Two lots in a different location I paid for earlier were never bought. Is this where my money went for those two lots? But she did take me there to see them and it SUCKED....she even had three "real estate agents" (all women) arrive with the Title for those two lots that, later, turned out to be fraudulent...but before I knew this, that was why I thought when I signed a contract for two beach lots with a big Real Estate company I thought I made a good decision.. but remember? That contract was changed only2 days after I went back to work. And Guess what I also discovered after I left her. In her FB page she had pics of a ffilipino BF? Wearing my clothes! I went to a Hotel we went to get receipts as evidence in my case of fraud against her and guess what? I discovered she was there with someone 14 FEB but it wasn't me I was still in Baghdad working for all of this. Maybe she is already married? The Case is in court now but there will probably be no justice. My first two lawyers seemed to have been paid off to screw me. I was only going to get $11,000 of $300,000 I invested with her. I filed police charges against her for theft and fraud. I also took it to a higher organization who assisted me in getting my case to the prosecutor. She stole my gold coins and now she is telling the court... all the money I sent her was a gift. Case is still pending. I am lucky. I can go back to work and make this money I lost back in 2 years. My Bosses want me back. But I want this "EGG" to roast a bit more. I know the family is a Military family... they can just as easily do away with me. But I was military too. I am on guard. But I learned a lot too. Not all are bad. Just be careful. My story is not UNCOMMON... many more were burned. They have NO risks .. you do though. Don't believe all promises. My Emails are evidence she was cheating on me from the beginning... this is why I have a case. I NEVER deleted them. Her words will hang her... but in the PI? Maybe not... they protect their own. During one arbitration.. MY LAWYER and the Defendant with her navy family behind her were all chanting " PHILIPPINES for Filipinos" Three times, so you kind of know where you stand there in the PI. The Gold coins I left with her she stole too. I figure if I was killed in Iraq my coins were with my Ex fiancee for "SAFE" keeping... LOL She told the prosecutor it was a gift... and she sold them already...But EMAILS she sent say she knows she was keeping them for our retirement later.... Ok, Good Luck. My Case should be over but I think it was being slowed down... this time I have a suspicion the prosecutor has been greased to slow down his "RESOLUTION" decision. But I have more "Ace's" in my sleeve. But I cannot reveal this to anyone yet. Case is still pending and a 2nd case against the real estate company for contract fraud (NEGLIGENCE). A lawyer told me I can also sue for PAIN AND SUFFERING.. LOL My Ex Fiancees pain and her suffering...???? In the PI you are considered "married" if the relationship is over 5 years... I have a right to at least 50% unless the Crime can be proven it was ESTAFA. Then maybe I can get all my investments back. But we know the pirates wasted all those funds ... RIGHT? So jail time for her is just as well for me.

+Leeuwy there are lots of beautiful women who forces themselves to work on bars due to poor/bad situations in life, and are praying for someone to come rescue them from poverty.. most of the time these filipina women would be so grateful that they'd pay you back with love, kindness and life long devotion when you marry them. Although you really have to use your intuition which is which, or who is who.. if you're thinking of marrying these bar girls, be wary of drug users, might as well shun away from them.

+Ping Yu Thanks Ping Yu, Not looking for sympathy really. Just to warn other men to be careful and used my example of foolishness as a learning experience I hope others never have to endure. In the Military you learn to trust your fellow comrades. I thought they thought the same way. In Fact, if they followed the business plan as I wanted they would all be making money if they were honest. I had no problem if they used the profits to send the kids to college. All I wanted was a DOG and to go fishing.. they could manage the businesses. That simple. I thought they were competent. Later, I was told by my Ex Fiancee that a third brother had an "illegitimate" child with a GF, he was married but my EX Fiancee told me not to tell her brothers wife. This Lady GF of Bro married a Japanese man and their son was adopted and taken to Japan with them. When the GF comes to the PI she brings the boy who is now 19... .this son doesn't tell the Step Father he visits the real father. I do know they were in the Navy, I was on base with them. One of them is very high up in the ranks. But they are all Liars too. To sum up my story... I must be the only man in the Philippines with a $300,000 dog. The ex fiancee stole the apartments, all my clothes, my Restaurant decorations that cost me $30,000 and $6000 to mail them to her... and she NEVER opened the Boxes. She stole my Gold and Silver coin collection too that she kept in a Safe at her fathers home that I also paid for....So I got the Dog and she laughed she could buy another one...after I left her. I am calling the Prosecutor and Lawyer now to find out the status.... the prosecutor had my case for 1 year now... sitting on his desk. He says each month he has too much work to do. I believe him! LOL There are probably many cases like mine sitting on his desk... just not as much money as I lost.

Foreigners can't own properties (Land) in the Philippines.That's the law so before buying one you should do your homework. Sending money to someone you just meet online to buy the land and build your retirement house is purely stupid. Know the signs of scams. Surely whoever venture into online romance should be wise enough to detect the signs. Because of these reasons why I work my self off and buy and build my own house in the Philippines. So when the time my husband's retire he can just sit and relax. And everybody who thinks that I am one of those lowlife scammers can eat their words. If I am a man that look for a lifetime Love. I would not open my wallet and bank account right on the bat. I would look for someone who value me over cash. Have decency, moral and most of all somebody who will work with me on building a future together. If you get scam then don't blame anyone and cry to your friends and tell them you got scam. Because clearly you are partly to blame. Let's use our brain and not our pants and bank accounts. Just saying!

Cass Helena "Land can be leased by the foreigner or a foreign corporation on a long term contract for an initial 50 year period and renewable every 25 years. A foreigner can rent a lot and at the same time legally own the house on the rented land." So basically get a very good property lawyer and sign a long term lease on said land that will get you to the point of death. After you're dead who cares? Though it does lead to other issues with inheritance factors pushing for a swift death of you. Would rather loose property than my life. ;) real-estate-guide.philsite.net/foreigners.htm

I'm a filipina and my fiancee is an Aussie He said to me that he wants to buy a house here which we all know that He cannot legally own the property so I told him Just buy a condo unit atleast its under your name and you can rent it to someone else then he replied to me No, I want a house and lot for US then I said Its up to you but for me Its much better if we aleady have a baby we can put his/her name under the property. I never ask him to buy anything for me cause I have this high ego that i dont want to depend to anyone I want to work hard for myself so I can anything I want. I am a teacher and my whole family are decent and professional. And I love my fiancee so much more than anything in this world. I love him so honest,clean and pure. So for those foreign man who are seeking for a Filipina to love and to marry My advice is be careful Get to know her background Education and Family background even Living status Don't be rush Observe her. Those men who aged like 45 and up pleasd find a filipina who is nearly same age as you not like half of your age. I am 25 years old my fiancee is 43 y/o. 18 years age gap. not so bad because he just looks like 30 plus everyone is always telling that.

HipBurRn my ex wife was Filipino she married a man to come to the USA she abandoned him he filed for a divorce, I didn't know about it at the time she was facing deportation she met me, she was very nice I treated her with all the respect and love possible as soon as we were married she changed and became an impossible bitch nothing was ever good enough she really got bad after she got her permanent residency approval I went to work and get served with a restraining order for doing nothing I fought it in court it got thrown out, after three months she said I could come home about a six months later I go to work everything was going good I came home to an empty house a couple days later get served with divorce papers, she then decided to drop the divorce after I told her I was resigning from my job and was going back to college so then she says to move in with her but I was not able to sleep in the same room as her I had to sleep on the couch. Then about another six months later after I got another good job she filed for a divorce again and I was also kicked out of the house again. I fought this all in court had visitation set up with my daughter she was in violation of the court order so I took her back to court I get slapped with a restraining order for not doing a dam thing now I haven't seen my daughter in two years! Her ex husband and I have both wrote to immigration to report her for marriage fraud and the worthless immigration hasn't done a dam thing. I want to move to the Philippines because I really have come to hate the USA. In the last time we split she got charged with domestic abuse against me and according to state law the victim is supposed to get the child meaning I should have gotten custody, but because of a piece of shit biased judge he chose to not follow the law!

as a realtor in manila foreigner cannot own house and lot unless they are married to a filipino citizen but they can purchase and own a condominium anywhere in the country, they can even loan money from the bank if they need it.

The lack of reciprocity in property rights is grossly unfair and immoral, since Filipinos can own land and homes in their own name in the U.S.A., even if they have no intention of ever becoming a U.S. citizen! This non-reciprocal treatment for Americans is grossly immoral, since American families gave BLOOD in 1942-45 to save today's Filipinos from speaking Japanese and being slaves for Mitsubishi. Shame on this one-way treatment from an "ally" and former friend.

Hi i am also from dumaguete, used to leave in a very crowded neighborhood near Florentina. It is very normal for me then to have loud music from our neighbors. However, when i immigrated to Canada in 2004 and returned to visit my hometown i realized i get annoyed by the sound of the roasters and the loud music of my neighbors. I think i can understand ur frustration as it is not really normal to have loud music and be heard by neighbor in north america. If it is loud the neighbor would come knocking on your doors and wull tell you to turn it off.

Kumusta!!I came very close to staying in the PI after I got out of the Navy in ‘79. My round eye supervisor an ATC wanted me to join him and his huge family in Poro Naga. He had a second house on a large rice plantation. Always kinda regretted not taking him up on it, tho I’d probably be dead from drinking by now..... but I’d have had a lot of fun!! Babalik ako!!

This is really really common. Foreigners getting sold property with fake deeds, the girlfreind selling the house when the man is out of the country working, foreigner getting sold a business (like a bar) that mysteriously becomes unprofitable and they are forced to sell at a huge loss. If you have a filipina wife she has no problem buying property or a business...just realize it is hers.
