I just had 3 weeks in cebu,i dont miss the 03.30 wake up calls by the roosters and squarking all day.Things in general therel are not cheap at all.

I have 3 to 5 kids on my place in the province also. Two that father died and mom has no sir name, 3 kids have no father’s name. I would like to adopt these kids. I’m told it is about $200 each. You’ve seen the affects of fatherlessness in the US, do you think this is a good idea to step up. I’ve seen you step up and Bing is the best. Any wisdom from your perspective would be great. Ty

Another great update as a preclude to your new life in the province. It looks like a real family atmosphere there. Now that you and Lot are moving there, the kids will get better at their English as it is spoken more and maybe your Tagalog will become more fluent since there won't be as many expats to converse with......can't wait to see how the rest of the year pans out when the construction starts.

Another great video Brian and those are your nieces and nephews too. It happens when you get married and all 'our' nieces and nephews were born years after Anne and I were married as she's the oldest in our family. We always look forward for our time visiting with the family down in Leyte and spending time with all our nieces and nephews. We have 20 years developing our place in Leyte and you both are just getting started but it's going to be worth it for both of you. Oh, and those little gas canister stoves are what we use when we go with the family island hopping and camping overnight.

When I first met my wife, it was rice breakfast ,lunch, and supper now. After about 15 years, here in the States, she might have Rice 2 or 3 times a week

The nicknames often stand instead of a long name..not in her case but Filipinos have some cool names like Dominador or Redentor..so thats a bit long to keep saying so Dominador can become Nador, Ador, Domi and Redentor just Red. Evangelista can become Vangie or Eva.

I believe you are going to really enjoy living in the province. My wife is a prime example pf, you can take a girl out of the province, but you can't take the province out of the girl. We have been married 40 years.

I enjoyed your walks & rides around Angles but I would rather be in the province, I like Manila but our family are in Luzon so that's where I will be settling when I retire (3 years) Good luck on the next chapter of your life.

Breathing all that wood smoke is brutal to me, My wife's family in the mountains cook with only wood and it kills the fresh air up there, all I could smell and taste for days after coming back home after a one day visit there.

Jungle life is a great life exspirence never forgot in my case of living that lifestyle in the jungles of Thailand and Cambodia for many years. Boredom would get to me but been an artist I would spend many hours drawing and doing qood carvings also I would volunteer teaching in schools. Language was my only problem but in the Philippines most people speak English so no problem. I now have a family and we live on a mountain side in the province in the Philippines. Life is much better than living in any city. I stoped driving my car & motorcycle and my only transport now is a push bike. When I need to go to town I will hire a local driver for half a day giving them work. Its a great life style one that many people will never understand and you will allways be surrounded by happy people proving my point that wealth does not bring happyness. You made a great choice belive me changing your life style leavingcity life behind. Plus tou now have a new world ofdaily lifes as content.

Gidday it's nice to see a slice off province life I've been back in australia for just on 2 years due to health reasons due to go back in a few mounths When I lòk around over here all u hear is doom and gloom cost off liveing is really high house prices are off the scale Everyone is struggling to pay their way yet in the philipines they live a simple life build a small hut and add on as they can afford it a d everyone is happy kids are smiling Yet in developed countries They are in real strife want the big new car boat and caravan all on borrowed money yet moan about how much banks make I truly believe they could learn a lot by just liking at how people live in the philipines

I'm in trouble. I like my beef hot dogs and those still look on the light side to me. I'd have to try them but I can't do the chicken/pork dogs. For me I'd need my own place. Like to have a little privacy but do like having all the family around. I think the videos will be good here. Whole new cast of characters. Been watching for a long time. Never seems like that long.
