I think you being a gentleman in game 2 vs the Drukhari player was the right call, while RTT's can be competitive they're not nearly as competitive as GT (ie 5+ games). RTTs are for learning and you gave that guy a great learning experience and learned yourself about game management (ie watching time). Clocks are still a great tool. If I'm playing someone new I always say that the clock is for my benefit to keep me on time, but if you clock out then you can keep playing.

Rock and Stone. This is the content I've been hoping to see. Gotta put the tactics to work!

This channel is the living proof that there are people really knowing their craft in this game even without competetive experience. Keep up the good work but play more events, because it is good fun! Edit: Play with chess clocks! Time is important and a game is only fair if both players have the same time.

Great analysis. I’d love it if you were able to start interviewing league players who place at events. I’m very eager to get more analysis of our armies and how they perform in tournament scenarios.

Very good first showing and sorry you had a cursed game - it happens. A clock can help with this. Took me three RTTs to get more than a single win per tournament, don’t beat yourself up, you’ve improved a lot as a player just by getting these extra reps in and breaking them down this way after the fact!

My takeaway from this were that you did really well, considering this is your first serious RTT and the current state of the army compared to other more META factions. You did well by giving that dude his paint points. My personal rule is that everyone gets their 10, but if you act like a jerk during our game, you don’t get to keep them at the end. I would maybe considering holding an opponent to it at a larger GT, but I’d also have to be in the running for a podium finish, and it would only be for the sake of breaking a tie. Winning based off of paint just feels yucky to me. I think you handled that well. As for timing out, I FEEL THIS. I had a game bagged, but forgot to hit my clock a few times, clocked out, and watched it slip away in round 5 as I rolled my saves and watched him walk around taking secondaries and stealing primary uncontested. Feels bad, but that’s how we learn to manage our time (and bring our own clocks). I think Kahls are still better than champs with the 5 man volkanite dudes though. There’s so much volume of fire with the grenades that the lethals really pay dividends and outweighs the few missed opportunities for devs on the volkanites.
