My first London Marathon - 2022 Race Vlog
Follow my mile by mile account of my first London Marathon. It was an amazing experience that will stay with me forever, even though I was way off my target goal time.
A Massive thanks to all that supported me, and especially Jon & Jill for letting me stay with them and Alisa and Donna for extending their stay in London to meet me at the finish.
I will be uploading a separate race review shortly, as I wanted to keep this video under 30 minutes.

Thank you! Although the time goal was missed I am super happy that I completed it with a massive smile on my face. I was getting far too hot after mile 6 with the unexpected sunny and warm conditions, which lead to a tough mental battle to get to the end.

Watched this as I'm running London on Sunday - got all the emotions watching you do those last few miles! Made me very excited!

Just watched the video. Fellow Fordy Runner myself based up in Brum. You looked like you were very controlled and comfortable and most of all, it came across as you really enjoyed yourself. Well done onL ondon, not run it myself yet. I ran Chester Marathon on the same day and I entered the Virtual London Marathon so I got the bling and the purple tee. Didn't make the ballot for 2023, so will probably run it virtual again and do either Southampton or Stratford, which are both on the same day as London, but are two lap courses which I am not sure if I am keen on. I've hit the subscribe button and off to find and follow you on Strava if you are on it as a fellow Fordy myself, I have not really seen any others up this way on my races. Well done again James

Hi! Great to hear from you, well done on Chester. I am booked in there for next year for a second time. I really did enjoy it, despite my time goals going out of the window. I struggle in the heat. But I re-set and focused on taking it all in, getting a good video and smiling. Thanks for watching, commenting and the sub :)
