My First Time Driving The Tail of the Dragon! | Audi Nationals 2023

I am lucky enough to be attending Audi Nationwide hosted by ‪@AudiClubNorthAmerica‬ at the worried famous Tail of the Dragon in Deals Gap, NC.
This is my first time ever driving the famous road, and I wasnt sure how the C7 was doing to handle 318 curves in 11 miles being as big as she is.
I was apart of a spirited group (fastest of the organized groups here this weekend) & our drive lead was a beautiful 8V RS3, followed by me, then MercRacing's S4, a B8 RS5, and followed up by a Porsche GT4.
I'm happy to say that the C7 performed absolutely incredibly on the TOTD. The driver of the RS3 even complimented how well the car handled the road & kept up with him.
This is the entire run starting in Deals Gap going up & down.

It's an absolute riot! I go at least once a year, usually a few times. I put my Audi, my rock crawler, and a motorcycle on my gooseneck. Neighbor dude tows his Z3, rock crawler, and a bike.. We camp and fish off FS-81, run the cars and bikes on the Tail, and rock crawl in a private area near Tellico. Absolute paradise. Best of FOUR worlds.

I've done the dragon on my wifes A6 at least half-dozen times. It's not my S4, but old girl holds up pretty well! We'll be up that way tomorrow!

That looks like so much fun! Just wanted to thank you for your exhaust advice... I got the perfect combination of the low Audi exhaust rumble and supercharger whine... People kinda move on over when they hear that beautiful sound! The Stage 1 Jackal tune is So Much Fun! They are the coolest people.. great customer service! 5/5 IMO. All I have to say is I have irritated a bunch of boys here lately! They should look into a good tune-maybe then, they could keep up! 😂 I love it! Thanks for the great content!

Nice and clear roads. I was just down there Labor Day weekend for a week. Planned on doing the Tail in my A7. But literally 3am i blew a tire on the bypass as i was on the Southside heading out of town. So ended up taking my buddies car instead.

@AudiC7Owners yeah, as mad as I was, my buddy said lucky it didn't happen like half way there or something. Really screw us, it's an 8-9hr drive. I got my spare on and limped back home and parked it for the week.

The headlights look so stealth. Are they wrapped with tinted PPF?

Nope! They are fully customized headlights done by Tyler Hays. I'll have a comprehensive video on them soon.

15 min to the overlook. That’s a good run. Probably would’ve been 14 if not for the slow downs.
