Hate to pile on but as a 66-year-old male I am neither female nor a teenager. BTS music is quite diverse in musical genre. BTS also frequently involves messaging that varies from political statements to promoting Western thinkers such as Nietzsche, Hermann Hesse and Karl Jung to expressing individual emotional tribulations to supporting listeners mental health and much more. And yes, there are a few love songs but many of them involve feelings attached to failed relationships. So BTS is not necessarily vanilla K Pop. In fact, while Euphoria probably should be seen in a romantic context, it was included in an ongoing storyline in which the source of Jungkook's euphoria was not a love interest but something which is a major issue with Korean youth.

Teenage Girls 🤣🤣🤣🤣 85% of concert tickets are sold to ARMY over the age of 21... and 35% of attendees are men. BTS is not your typical boy band !! I'm a 52yo Australian OG Metalhead and have been ARMY since 2016. I can't wait for their next concert in 2025... and I'll be taking my 76yo mother and my 3yo grandson.... I'm 43, and Iraq War Veteran and currently work in law enforcement/forensics. We are definitely not all 15 year old girls. In fact, many surveys have shown that the majority of the BTS fandom is over 25 and I've personally seen people in their 70's and 80's at their Permission to Dance concerts in LA. There are also a lot of men in the fandom. Anybody that likes good music should be a fan.

I mean I’m sure you’re hearing it rn lol but 32 yr old ARMY here! With BTS since I was 25 when they were a hiphop group being sneered at for their unconventional lyricism. Too “hiphop” to the kpop industry and too “kpop” for the underground scene where the original two members came from. The flack and the pushback and the sabotage these guys endured. Underdogs in a society where you not only don’t root for the underdog but you take them down and remind them where they stand. BTS is the definition of pushing boundaries in an industry where you stay in them. They have a 350+ discography not including all of their solo work which is extensive as well. They’re all different and have their own craft and style. Namjoon the leader is probably one of the most brilliant rappers and lyricists I’ve ever heard. And also his name is Jeon Jungkook, given name Jungkook sounds exactly as it looks💜

You are wrong about the teenage girls. More fans are in their 20s and 30s than in their teens. I am 45 years old and have been a BTS fan for 6 years. I have been to 2 BTS concerts. It’s more than just their production and looks that bring in the fans. It’s their message, their dedication to their art and to making the world a happier and kinder place. Their hilarious and humble personalities and their incredible talent. People might make fun of them for being a boy band from Korea, but they are so much more than that and in the community they have built with their fans around the globe are the seeds of world peace.

71 year old BTS Army here. I thought you should know that of the BTS Army: 20% are 20 and under 40% are 20-29 40% are 30 and older I have met BTS Army that are in their 80s. So no, teenage girls are not their biggest demographic. 😊 The BTS member ages range from 27-31. As BTS ages, so does their fan base. By the way, this is Wembley Stadium in the UK. Let's be totally honest but not a lot of "teenage girls" can afford to go to their shows. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with being a young fan but please don't label us all into the "boyband" stereotype. Tickets to a BTS concert sell out in under 2 hours (for EVERYTHING) and these are stadiums that hold 50k people in the audience. I know because I barely got tickets to see them live in Las Vegas and this was me just traveling from WA state. I spoke with ARMY from all over, had 2 young ladies from Mexico seated next to me, and while they couldn't speak English well they knew every word to each song in the set list. It's not unheard of for us to travel wherever we're able to get tickets and personally speaking spending over a thousand dollars for a single concert was one of the highlights in my 44 years.

68 year old ARMY here. In South Korea, surnames are always said before the first name. Jungkook is his first name. Jeon is his surname. Thus, in SK his name would be said Jeon Jungkook. In North America it would be Jungkook Jeon. ARMY calls him by his first name: Jungkook (or JK, Kookie etc among others!). Jungkook is extraordinarily talented as are all the other members of BTS. You cannot pigeon hole them into any one genre of music. They do it all. Everything from pop, rap, blues, jazz, ballad, Latin, rock and more. They write their own music and collaborate with the best. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I've seen him flying above us live in concert with 50,000 other fans of all ages and genders etc. This man has no fear he bungie jumped off the side of a building. Yet he's down to earth and chats with us on live stream while folding his washing on his Dinning room table. He'll sit and a bottle or wine while chatting to us and taking song requests. But then all 7 of them are that way down to earth and extremely hard working. They'll talk to us about writing their songs, tell us when things are hard going while promising to work even harder. They are based him Hip Hop and R&B but the are music lovers of many different genre's so their music represents their love of music par say. However their subject matter their lyric's are what are the most import it's not what one would expect eg one would expect from a 'boy band' the music to be all about Romantic love well they do have a the odd song on that subject it's just that the odd song. For instance Euphoria is about his love of ARMY eg the fandom not about Romantic love. In fact BTS have number of songs about our relationship (BTS and ARMY's relationship) They have 3 albums exploring the Concept of 'self love' 2 Album exploring Jungan Psychology applying the Psychological theories of Personna, Shadow and Ego to their own personal lives. I love it when people think ARMY is nothing but teenage girls, lol. Sir, you are not alone. Many, many groups are followed by mostly young girls and that is fine but you will find that BTS and ARMY are much different than any other groups/fandoms out there. I, myself, am 63 and I found BTS through my daughter back in 2019 when she was 31 and my mother has also become ARMY and she is now 96. Her goal is to live long enough to see BTS live. The majority of reactors I watch are men who are anywhere from their 20's to 60+ and they too usually start off with preconceived notions about BTS . Please listen to ARMY when we tell you that this group of men (and they are men not boys...ages upper 20's to lower 30's) are sooooo different from other groups. You are doing a great job, just don't write them off as just having fluff pop songs. You would be missing out on some fantastic music and the relationship between the members is wonderful. They love each other deeply as well as love their fans and show it to us all of the time. I look forward to your journey into discovering this crazy, wonderful world of BTS. I understand that without the proper context we can only assume and land on the wrong mark most of the times, but I hope the comments and the stats on your videos will show you a side you didn't expect^^ I remember the first time BTS came into my life, I was playing a game and I got bored so I bought a new dlc and I chose the only one I didn't know what it was... it was a BTS pack for Beat Saber... Then I ended up looking at their songs on youtube, then I wached fan made videos, learned their names etc. What made me an Army was the whole thing, their songs, message, attitude, friendship, hope, depth, complexity and consistency that they shared with us. Not to forget that Armys are an extention of that everywhere in the world. I felt so alone and unable to trust people before knowing about BTS. Now everyday I wake up and I have people that I can trust and build a better futur with in mind. Hi 😄. As a 61 y/o BTS Army mother and cancer patient, how I wish to still be a teenager but that's what it is.. BTS's fans are so globally diverse that cuts across generational boundaries. Even the metal heads and men who attended their concerts in the US were given a loud shout out from BTS 😂. John Cena, Simon Pegg and Matthew McConaughey are 3 western actors who are fans of BTS 😉. DJ Swivel, a Canadian music producer worked on this song. The story goes that this song was originally offered to Justin Bieber but he declined & was offered instead to Jungkook. I'm glad he accepted it and made it his own. (BTS' songwriters including BTS leader RM co-wrote this song for JK). BTS has a wide discography of music genres that you'll never know what to expect from them, even in the members' solo performances bec they do almost everything. I'm glad you are enjoying Jungkook's music.

I'm 62 and wish I'd been at this concert.🙂 I fell in love with Jungkook last year when he dropped his solo single SEVEN in July (I'd suggest reacting to "SEVEN" and "3D" from his solo album "GOLDEN" -- JK also did a remix of "Standing Next to You" with Usher). Well from Jungkook, I quickly fell down the rabbit hole of BTS and now I love all of them. You'd be very surprised at the number of older adults up to 70 (or more) who love BTS. And they are definitely more than a K-pop group. You will come to know, if you continue, that they have many different genres of music (Funk, Pop, R&B, Latin, Rap, EDM, Hip Hop and even more). I believe this performance of Jungkook's Euphoria was about 6 years ago and he was about 20. All of BTS are now doing mandatory military service and expect to reunite in 2025 (2 are being discharged this year, the other 5 in mid 2025) and once they are back together and touring, you can best believe that I will be at 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 of those concerts!😉 In addition, before enlisting, each of them released solo projects.

His name in Korea would be said Jeon JungKook. In western countries it would be Jungkook Jeon. You can just call him JK if it is easier.

To watch these young men persevere and excel makes me so proud! I use them for an example to my grandkids, saying if seven young men from South Korea can move mountains, so can you! Oh, the Flying JK performance from the Love Yourself Speak Yourself tour, the one I always say that when I'm an old lady (and I'm 61 now), I will be able to brag that I saw it live because it is so iconic! JK is notorious for his love of adrenaline rushes so he LOVED doing this so much, as you can see from his expression while flying over the stadium. When BTS opened their Butter performance at the Grammys, JK actually started out at the ceiling of the venue on a similar hook so that he could come down like he was in Mission Impossible. There's a reason BTS is so popular and it's not just the 'cute boy band' stereotype they get labeled with in the West. Their music is good, their performances are immaculate and they're genuinely just decent guys. Btw, in Asia the surname comes first, so Jeon is his last name and Jungkook is his given name. We call him everything from JK to Kookie.

His full name is Jeon Jungkook. In Korea, their surname comes first. So his first name is Jungkook. Pronounced more like Chawn-goo(g).

His family name is actually "Jeon" and his name is Jung Kook (Jeon Jung Kook) so if you wanted to call him a Mr. I guess I'd go with Mr. Jeon, but you want to keep the Jung Kook together (or JK for short). Not a criticism of you, just helping. :) but no, we aren't all teenage girls... we actually very much aren't predominantly teenage girls. I'm a highly educated engineer who comes from alternative/modern rock. Please know stereotyping us just helps reinforce those thoughts about women and what we enjoy.

Jungkook is his first name (and stage name) pronounced Jkunggoo. He's got the greatest voice in the world, unfortunately he's stuck in the military right now. He's been the main (central)singer of BTS for over 10 years, and is right now 26 years old. Although he's grown up a bit and had amazing top of the chart hits in the fall (Seven, Standing Next to You), this video, from when he was about 22, will always be my favorite.

I am a 61 years old ARMY and wasn't there but had I had the chance I would have been there, not only for JK but for all 7 BTS members. That performance is in a BTS concert 💜💜

66 year old British male here. I started listening to music when the Beatles were still together, grew up with bands like Led Zep, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, REM and such. Finding BTS felt like coming home. My introduction was seeing the mv for Blood, Sweat and Tears early in 2017, which intrigued me with its artistry and poetic symbolism… I had to know more, and that started me on a whole new musical adventure. They opened my eyes and ears to a world I’d never expected to love. Before BTS I enjoyed some pop but didn’t really engage with it, and I really didn’t ‘get’ rap, but the skill, authenticity, passion and sheer intelligence of these seven guys blew me away, especially Yoongi who spoke directly to my heart.
