Really liked that your said at the end mate. I was a software engineer for 20 years and felt i needed a change. Became a driver and i love being out on the road meeting people and discovering new areas. It's not an easy job but the change was what i needed.

I'm happy for you then. As a delivery driver you do get to see different places of whatever state your dsp operates in. It's hard work but I'd rather do this then work retail anyday

I’ve been delivering for Amazon since 2019, and I’ve switched to 5 different DSP groups by now and it makes a HUGE, DRASTIC, BIG ASS difference on how being an amazon delivery driver is bc DPS group leaders are the KEY to how chill or SHITTY and HELLISH your day to day working there will be… out of my 5 different DSP groups 2 were AWESOME!! 1 was OKAY, and the other 2 sucked absolute ass. Major favoritism, unorganized and poor communication. The job is already physically and mentally hard enough with 200 stops/300 packages a day, not counting the hot weather and cold ass winters and hard raining days!!!

Just subscribed! You are one of the few that is encouraging to watch! I have my interview in a few days, and I started watching videos from drivers that were saying don't do it, and I started thinking I was making a huge mistake! Then I ran across your video, and I'm starting to feel a little better about it! Hopefully, it goes well for me! Thank you for the encouragement!

Hey brotha!! I noticed the same, lots of discouraging videos like “why I quit”, “I quit Amazon in one day”, etc etc. and it discouraged me when I first was going for the job. But at the end of the day, it’s like anything else, you can’t knock it until you try it. Stoked you found my video and it’s encouraged you to at least give it a shot! It’s not as bad as people make it out to be, I just think people thought less of it and it turned out to be way harder than they thought lol. But like I said, simple job, but not easy! You got this bro!!

Hey man! Freelance videographer here. I recently relocated from VA to TX for my wife’s job. This left me in a tough spot…had to leave my entire client base behind and start the business completely over from scratch. I decided to check out some job options while I get back on my feet out here with the videography business, and stumbled across your video in the process. I start at a DSP on Tuesday. Your video was not only helpful, but your words were VERY encouraging. Thank you for that…I literally needed to hear it. This is just a temporary phase, and you really put everything into perspective. Great content man…subbed!

Damn, the first 1:30 minutes I felt like we in the same position. This definitely helped me kind take a different look on things. I got offered job with 3rd party delivery for Amazon and have a tour of the place and process this Monday. I’m working my “dream job” right now as a motorcycle apprentice mechanic at a custom vtwin shop but I make way less than I’m use to and I was told to get the schooling to get farther with this career. So now I’m thinking of taking this delivery job to make some more money, pay off some debt and save for school hopefully, will be making good $3 more than what I make now so hopefully I can just grind and make it work for a while 🤟🏼 great video! Maybe tmi but your video just felt like same situation I’m in haha

Been doing it for two weeks now. So far, had one horrible day. But what i just dont understand, is how they can give you routes that are just ridiculous… but the other drivers whos routes are not too far from yours, are smaller and easier. They can probably prevent ot and rescues, by evenly dispersing these routes. Let alone, limit what a van can load. I understand the work load, and dont mind hard work. But there has to be limits. Reason why flex drivers exist. To take the leftovers that we shouldn’t, and couldnt do. Maybe they will have less turnover as well lol
@martinmanaoat989
@martinmanaoat989 4 ай бұрын
lol hey man I feel you! The route distribution is confusing and I feel the same. Some routes are easier and some routes will be crazy and then on top of that some times, you’ll get a van that just does not fit the load well. It would be easier if they could give a van that was more made for the load we have that day. I still don’t know how the routes are split up between everyone but this seems to be the biggest thing I have a problem with as well. Thanks for the comment bro! Good to hear your story and how your experience is so far!

I had started being a delivery driver the day after Thanksgiving...fast forward 3 wks my DSP was placed on probation...but said it would be ok. A few days later their contract ended . And I drive in the mountains so very sketchy roads and already got into a situation where I got stuck due to the rain and mud up there. But I got towed out luckily by a neighbor lol. But even with that, I still feel comfortable in them, I just can’t drive em like they have 4 wheel drive lol. Dispatch will tel you, if it’s unsafe terrain, don’t risk it, we’ll have to find another way for them to get their package. Today was my first day with my Dsp, I didn’t get a Ride Along or a Nursery route as my Dsp is not doing any of that because of Peak season, I smashed my route 198 stops-398 packages in 6 hours with no package returns , I can’t honestly say I enjoy this job as I like to stay active and I don’t like working inside of a building being micro managed. My Dispatch left me alone to do my thing and I didn’t disappoint. I didn’t run on any of my stops I just kept a steady pace and timed myself and it worked out well I just need to work on sorting my packages better so I can get faster and get better at my deliveries. But a small comment is that you mentioned you applied jobs for gym coach and boxing coach, and to be quite honest, not sure if you lack people that tell you straight up, but your fitness and boxing skills is beginner at best. So when you apply to mainly those jobs (and photography you mentioned), its no surprise that you aren't getting hired. I hope I give you a small sense of reality that maybe you needed

Thank you for the comment but, I’ve had boxing jobs since 2014. It wasn’t cuz of the skill, I got offered the jobs, it just didn’t work out for me because of distance. Plus those don’t offer benefits like the Amazon job. I should’ve dove deeper into it in the video but I hope that helps n I appreciate your comment as well!

I'm not sure who you think you are bro but that is so out of pocket, why would anyone want or value your opinion? I hope you find some happiness in your life, little one.

@@burkles4456 You don't have to value my opinion and my comment comes from a perspective on constructive criticism. As an example, if you only apply jobs that require a PhD in biology but you have no prior knowledge in biology, then complain that you aren't getting opportunities, would be idiotic at best. My point is to perhaps pursue something he is more skilled at or if he is adamant on having a career in boxing (very different than as a hobby), then realize how much more training and practice and hardwork he has to put in before he will see any real results. Having a bunch of people (friends assuming you are one of them) to inflate your ego and saying you are a good boxer and should look for boxing jobs will just hurt your own development and create delusional goals. Too bad people nowadays take everything up their butt and get offended by anything and everything, and you are even getting offended by something that's not affecting you or directed at you.

@@carsostudio8618 it’s ok bro, everyone has their opinions, you’ve only seen a little bit of what I do. Like I said I’ve been doing this for years. You may think my skills are “beginner at best” which is fine cuz as a martial artist teacher, coach and so forth, it’s important we stay students and learn from who we can learn from. I do appreciate your opinions and thank you @burkles4456 for backing me up, but he may be only basing it off this one little snippet of me hitting a bag. So if he’s ok making judgement off of one video, that’s alright, as long as I’ve been doing this, I know there’s always room for improvement. Do you box as well? I’d love to see your stuff! Also I’ve taken what you said and already replied with what actually happened. You replied, hopefully with good intent. Either way I appreciate you for stopping by and checking out the video and commenting on it!

Thanks for making your video, it's always nice to see new drivers and what their perspective is. just an FYI, at 13:22 in your video, you show the customer's name and address. I Highly suggest you block out the info, Amazon would off board driver's for that immediately. I would hate to see that happen, cuz then you can't make more Amazon videos. Keep posting, show everyone the odd and confusing did bits of Amazon delivery. Show us what you like an don't like, it's what I do on my channel, but I do everything FPV.

All depends each dsp can be different as well and different benefits mine has tuition reimbursement in full amounts up to so much while others don’t so always look around on indeed is one of the best places as some of the dsps are hard to find by simply googling Amazon delivery drivers you may get the same results popping up but in south jersey here at almost all of the dsps they start at 20.75 some pay weekly some pay biweekly though understand you can switch dsps as well so at least you’re not stuck like if you worked at a business with only one set of bosses that you don’t get along with at least at a dsp each one has their own company own employees and own management so much easier to shop around I’ve even seen some willingly pay overtime and others who restrict it unless there is no other driver available but at the end of the day you only deal with “coworkers”/ bosses usually over the phone or brief times in the morning and end of the day but again shop around read honest reviews form employees and not lazy people who say it’s too hard cause it’s really not the hardest part is just learning the loading procedures and end of day returning but other than that it’s practically like DoorDash or even Amazon flex contractors on steroids and more secure and guaranteed hours compared to those services.

I was wondering how’s my man driving with his phone but it looked like he had a rental can maybe Amazon couldn’t get their “AI” camera inside 😂 shit I’ve seen my local station roll up in a damn budget company van and they couldn’t even opt for the all white people probably were sketched out some budget van is suddenly delivering packages 😂

Maybe they’re fine cause he didn’t “use his phone in motion” but honestly can’t imagine Amazon or dsp finding out about the customer info cause the vans stopped so unlikely the cameras going to send any of the footage of him recording to the folks who work in that department unless they see his YT
