@@martinmanaoat989 Sometimes the parcels slide towards you when you drive around the bend, but if you point the tote with the high side towards you, they stay in place or you can stop it with your hand, but in general they just stay up. their place. I work for DHL myself and they just use numbers in order, so if I have 140 packages, they are simply numbered from 1 to 140, so the organization goes quite quickly that way, about half a minute to a minute on the chair.

So.... technically... you have a workforce labor law suit here... They demanded you clock out for your 30 minutes break (which is supposed to be non interrupted) for a safety mechanical issue that happened with a work vehicle that they cleared for use on road. I would've reported that to your boss and the head amazon safety person at your warehouse. Had that failed while you were driving... oof... Showing them them vid as proof might hurt you a bit... but your dsp should have it on record for that van. That's not something that just happens. That van had issues they previously ignored. Could be easy as fuses, or short circuit somewhere.
@martinmanaoat989
@martinmanaoat989 2 ай бұрын
Funny thing, my boss is the one who told me to take my break while I waited for back up and then told me also, that the vans do that. So since he was confident in that, I trusted it but still am a little stand offish to the fact that they really don’t do checks on the van to really make sure it’s all safe.
@ashleynine4512
@ashleynine4512 Ай бұрын
@martinmanaoat989 hang in there...dsp start good, but end up just money grabbing hungry... so long as you get your route done just ignore them. But if other sketchy things come up that you feel just doesn't feel right. Document it and save it on your personal phone. Be it emails, text screenshot, etc just to cover your arse so they can't come back at you for stupid stuff. There's a reason they don't want us to unionize. -.-

That’s funny cuz I sometimes will pace myself knowing I’ll get a rescue cuz the thing I wonder is how they distribute the totes and routesThe other day I got 11 totes with 20 stops while some of my other co workers got like 18 totes with 150 stops. it’s not always like that but it’s like that. Also yeah all the BS my DSP comes up with like they hit us up sometimes with “stay home today or take tomorrow off cuz Amazon cancelled routes” It’s hard to believe that Amazon would run out of routes? Maybe I’m trippin idk. And with the videos, I don’t plan on showing anyone on my dispatch cuz I’m also not there to make besties with anyone right? It’s a job for me to go to and dip when I’m done. Granted I’ve made acquaintances andnnnnnd maybe they could grow into friendships but we mainly just chit chat before we get our vans. And those meetings we got, I feel are useless cuz we gather around for them to just tell us “no violations, drive safe” wtf? Could’ve said that when we got our vans lol. At the end of the day, this is not my career choice :) Thanks for all the comments ash! I love reading them!

@martinmanaoat989 amazon distributes route size and amount of packages. Your dsp doesn't. However, your dsp has the option to cut the load off they deem necessary. Then those extra they cut from you (if they do) go to flex route drivers. But again...money hungry dsp owners... they try their hardest not to do that, even though they running us ragged.

@martinmanaoat989 at first for organizing at first stop, yeah you'll fall behind. But you'll pick up speed quick a little later in your shift. (I never get rescued unless i beg for one...) I usually end up only getting 30-50 stops done before I chose to clock out for lunch. But so long as it's your regular route you should be fine and comfortable enough to pull up your map and check to make sure they aren't backtracking you as well. I stop at a gas station EVERYDAY before I hit my first stop. I need my sodie!!! And I've not been bothered ... if they're being stingy about it... So I know I look behind on dispatch screen... but if you have a reg route, you'll pick up quick. Don't let them stress you out. They're just sitting behind a screen in a air-conditioned warehouse. Once you unload that first tote and organize it to what makes sense to you, you'll be flying. I have annoying arse apartments with stairs too... the map in your flex app is your best friend. Yeah you'll have to tote hop ...annoying... but you'll get it down. Wish I could talk to you in person though. Would be easier to explain. Otherwise yer doing good, don't let your dsp dispatch bully you

Rescues are done after your route.. Usually if your route is dropped due to to many drivers or not enough routes, the 'left over' drivers do Sweeper routes... Sweepers pick up stops from reg drivers that day and it doesn't count against them. Rescues happen later in reg drivers routes day... that is if they are falling behind or split routes, or ya'll just have extra ppl that finish early. SOMETIMES if you are the one getting rescued too often... not a good sign unfortunately.... but an easy fix if you ask

Love your ambitious style. Just gotta say though right off the bat, every DSP is run different. Mine started great... now they just money hungery arses. You wanna go quick but not break yourself? Hey I get 170 -190 stops in my area. Doesn't seem a lot to others...but hey it's Coachella valley x.x Anyways... if you can, take a 5-10 min stop BEFORE you hit your first delivery. Gas station or which ever, get your ice, snacks, restroom morning break. 1st stop (and for every tote you break loose after), if you have a van with shelves... all boxes in driver number order.. place the stickers out to you so you can see them. Envelopes, you can either take time to numerical order them or just in piles ex: 600 to 610, 611 to 620s etc.. (driver number is the 3 digit number that's next to the 3D or 2C stuff ) That why you can grab and go. Easier in a rental van... they can't track your engine idle or seat belt shit (as much as they want you to think they can) Throw al your packages from one tote in the front with you in a rental. Boxes on the seat with the yellow tag gave you. Then order your Envelopes in the floor space between driver seat and passenger"
