Fun fact: Jin created a character for the promotion of the Astronaut called 'Wootteo' and also with the meaning that Wootteo will stay with us instead of him while we wait him. Jin gave one to Chris so he can sleep with the plushie lol but Chris ended up bringing Wootteo with him the rest of the tour, presenting the character in some concerts to the public mentioning Jin and BTS and their fans have said that they have caught some Coldplay members wearing Wootteo badges on their clothes in other performances and shows appearance like Saturday Night Live. That so sweet tho 😭😭💜

Coldplay treats Jin as their little brother and they shower him with so much love which is heartwarming to see. They are both genuinely nice people who are not afraid to show their brotherly love for each other in front of the world. Love their friendship so much! 💜

Jin grew up being a huge Coldplay fan and the BTS collaboration with them was really a dream come true for him. The Astronaut was a true team effort with Coldplay composing the melody and writing the original lyrics, and they then asked Jin to write new verses in Korean. It's a beautiful and meaningful song for us. And I think that relationship between BTS and Coldplay is also beautiful and meaningful. You can definitely feel the fondness between Chris and Jin in particular in this performance, and I hope it's a lifetime friendship for them.

its not that he 'couldnt' sing, he had just never tried or had any reason to as a teenager. He passed auditions for SM entertainment as well as BH auditons multiple times before he rejected the former to enter college, clearly he always had talent but just had focus elsewhere.

This is one of those special moments in music history. I melt every time. Jin flew 30 hours just to say goodbye to Army live. And yes, Chris improvised the two of them singing the last moments of the rehearsal and Jin was really nervous about it because he practices everything a thousand times to be perfect. He released a behind the scenes, him before the concert, and he was very nervous about that part. Lol. I think it works even better with the mess up!!

In the final part Jin is visibly excited, the reasons is because it's the first time he performs without the other members of BTS and he was nervous without them, also Coldplay follows them, performing with them is a dream come true for Jin for the second time, furthermore Jin despite trying to hold back is sad at the thought of leaving the Army his 6 brothers for two years, in that moment in which we see him as if he had forgotten the words, in reality his eyes are swollen and shiny with tears which he holds back, For Jin it is important to leave us without seeing him sad and for this reason he holds back his emotions giving us the best of himself. To those who ask me why I love BTS, the answer I give is only one, BTS are pure love, their way of being with their music Both as a group and as individuals it is the ongoing message of love, Tolerance, equality, and positivity that spread throughout the world, we Army know and want to carry on these values and messages.

I love this song and miss Jin so much ! Can't wait till he returns home. When Jin went to Argentina there were over 10,000 armies waiting for him at airport. I'm so happy armies there were treating him with warm welcome.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I am from the UK and have always been a Coldplay fan. I found BTS a few years ago and fell for these warm, funny and very humble guys. Imagine my joy when the collaboration for My Universe came about! Jin had said for years that he was a fan so it must have been a dream come true for him. The documentary of Chris going to Korea is a must watch. The Astronaut is now probably my all time favourite song. This performance is so beautiful and heartwarming. The genuine love and affection is there for all to see. Chris even kisses Jin on his head when he hugs him. There is a behind the scenes documentary for this as well (there are behind the scenes docs for most BTS content *hurrah*) Thank you for another wonderful reaction. Borahae 💜

This is very emotional. That Jin got a bit overwhelmed is natural and cute too. They respect each other so much. I love Jins voice, how much emotion he puts into the song and it makes me cry. I can hardly listen to his sad ballads, but it is his strength. 😍

Yes. You witnessed pure divine Love between them. And you can Feel Jin's True Love for Army. This was his last performance before he entered the military...enriching the specialness of the occasion. Just so you know JHope is entering on April 18th which is the rumor. Jin has been calling him everyday to give him tips on what to expect. He told him bring a book to read. JK adjusted his busy recording schedule to be back for JHope's entrance day. JK is rumored to be recording with Justin Bieber in L.A. When JHope enters the military I will change my profile pic to JHope like I did for Jin. To honor him and think about him everyday. Dear God, please take care of JHope. And continue your care for our Astronaut, Jin.

If you have not watch My Universe and the Documentary its a must. Jin was comfortable in the behind of this it took him 40 hours to get to this so his practice was shown. They are great friends and they have gotten together many times. There is an acoustic version of My Universe from Harlem cold play. BTS was there on diplomatic passports for their 3 speech at the UN and they dropped by the Cold Play Harlem location.

@@nickforell1 from what i remember, few weeks before this, when they had the Busan concert (BTS' last concert for the meantime), he had a very bad sore throat..though I think he was feeling better when he flew to Argentina 💜

@@nickforell1 Jin was sick and had a very, very bad sore throat during the Busan concert (a couple of weeks before this concert) Ten minutes before the concert he couldn't speak, but when he went on stage, not a single crack on his voice while singing. He sounded heavenly on their mellow songs, he's an angel 🥺🤧💜 There is also a behind-the-scene in BangtanTV for this performance in Argentina when Jin had rehearsals with Coldplay. It's a really great watch. Hope you could watch it even on your own time, Nick. Thank you 💜

They’ve all talked about being excited about their solo projects, but how they feel so out of place on a stage alone. Without the other 6. But they are all putting out amazing content, and ARMY is here for all of it. 💜 This one still makes me tear up though. My Universe was nominated for a Grammy.

BTW... Jhope is leaving for his military service next Tuesday... Jin will be waiting for him at the training camp....

Different training camp, according to the information dropped the other day. j Hope will be going to Gangwon-do military base while Jin is at Yeoncheon training base .But Jin has been in touch several times to help J Hope be more relaxed to enter. There are many training bases all over south Korea it would be unlikely that any of the members get to go in the same base, l really hope they do but it is unlikely.

Lo que quiero decir es que Army Argentina se lució. A solo un dia de lanzarse la canción ya se la sabían para apoyarlo! Fue todo muy emocionante saber que iba em camino los que tenían boletos felices las que no buscando… Army argentina Pinto de morado las calles consiguieron patrocinadores para pantallas gigantes en 5 días y fue transmitido en cine y globalmente lo vimos. Lloramos en el cine… Nunca lo olvidaré. Extrañamos a Jin.

I have a hundred favorite moments but when Jin runs into Chris's long outstretched arms for that hug and forehead kiss, that's the softest damn thing. (And the "come on brother, come on Jin!") If anyone ever doubted Jin's sincerity - he flew to Argentina to sing this song live with ARMY exactly once. He loves us, he loves who he is because of us, he means every word. I love the flub and the laugh. That's why live performances are magical. You get those little moments 😁

Oh, and in general, as much as we're going to miss all of them while they serve, and as much as we wish they didn't have to, we're very proud of them for not trying to get out of it. They've always said they didn't want special treatment, that they're just like everyone else and will serve when called. Hobi's last live was just the other day. He was clearly nervous and spent the whole time alternating between telling us not to worry and sighing deeply. I know they'll all do well - they're not strangers to hard work and they know what it is to be part of a team. But it's still a big change from the lives they're used to. Jin is doing well. He put on weight. His squad won a talent show because he taught them to dance. And he's been calling J-Hope to help him prepare. My favorite thing is that he told him there's a lot of sitting and waiting and to bring a book 😂

Thanks for this reaction. :) For me, it was a performance where even their laughter was perfectly felt. I was very touched that Chris was doing a back vocal in Korean. He would have learned and practiced Korean pronunciation for it, and I feel more grateful to know that it's not easy.😭 If you wanna know how Coldplay and BTS first collaborated,「Coldplay x BTS inside 'My Universe' documentary」will help you. This video is uploaded on BTS' official channel. It shows how Coldplay and BTS have created My Universe. :) I'm BTS ARMY btw, and I have also liked Coldplay's songs. Paradise, in particular, is one of my favorite songs. And after the collaboration, I fell in love with Chris Martin's humanity. It was so good to see them respect each other, and the process of making music together was lovely. :)

💜🥰💜So now go watch the behind the scenes for making My Universe. Chris just absolutely loves Jin. He gifted one of his own guitars to Jin! It all started when Coldplay gave permission for BTS to cover ‘Fix You’. BTS starts it a cappella and is hauntingly beautiful. Also Jin’s idea. You’re doing well. You noticed Jin’s amazing breath control and range. I think he is just behind JK on singing the loudest! Borahae 💜🤗💜

Thank you for appreciating Jin's beautifully clear vocals. He is such a pure soul - I've never come across anyone as selfless as he is. He wants people to see only his happy side, so all of his pain and insecurities that he keeps hidden are only revealed in his singing. And live, the intensity and power of the emotions he expresses are quadrupled. It's why he's called the "Live King". Chris Martin has picked up on all of this. In the My Universe documentary and the behinds of the recording of The Astronaut and the performance in Buenos Aires, he's always encouraging Jin and giving him opportunities to shine. And whenever he's asked about the My Universe collaboration, he never fails to say that it was "Worldwide Handsome Jin" who first suggested it.

it was difficult to sing without hearing the track, because the spot where they are standing (stage) they dont hear the music just noice, that is why Jin has his earphone. for Chris it is easier coz he is playing guitar, so he knows when to sing, but for Jin it was difficult

aish each time i see this video i cry 🤧 when we talk about live performance Jin is trully the KING. SUGA even saud that he's never made a mistake and hisvoice is always clear and right And yes you should watch "my unvierse" and especially the documentary about the making off. It's sad that Jin didn't have an big part in this song although it was him who initiate the collaboration in first place (at least it's what i undertand from a video of chris martin)

@@nickforell1 When you watch the live version, watch the fancams where Chris suddenly and unexpectedly showed up at the end of the LA SoFi concerts, day 4. The crowd went absolutely crazy. (Or if you do watch the AMAs version, take a fancam view; the AMAs made a huge mess of the sound system and it came through on their official video.)

8:18 - The Astronaut was released less than 24 hours before this concert, so that makes it even more special that the fans already knew the words to sing along. And everyone was surprised but pleased to hear this song that has Jin using his lower register. Jin and Chris sing an impromptu bit at the end, and they come to a part where the song could go one of 2 ways. Jin's not sure which way Chris wants to go! With characteristic humility and cheer, he muddles through with a beautiful sincere smile and laugh for Chris. And seconds later when he belts out the end of the song, you can tell he didn't let this moment fluster or discourage him. It's one of the best moments of the performance, and it gave us a wonderful still picture of Jin to remember him by.

There’s also a making of my universe behind the scenes that is extremely wholesome. And absolutely worth watching. It shows more into their friendship as a whole and I love that BTS are collecting senior artists who they can lean on bc they want to be like them and have longevity in their career.

It was only the beginning of their beautiful friendship, then there was the performance of my universe on the American music awards stage. At this last Grammy ceremony Chris went to rep Coldplay - and when BTS didn’t win the look on his face said it all. Chris is a real one. We love him in our community 💜

This is nothing but love with these men! They really love and appreciate ARMY. There is no other group that has the special connection with a fan base, ARMY, like BTS has...it's special and personal on both sides. J-Hope just went live yesterday to share with ARMY that he is headed to do his military duty on 4/17. Jungkook who has been in L.A. switched his schedule so he could come back to South Korea to send J-Hope off with rest of the members. These guys are so beyond special. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

You should watch the behind the scenes from Jin. He was nervous without the other members, and because Chris said no backing track. He smashed it though. He is so wholesome, amazing and I love Coldplay's relationship with BTS. I didn't remember this was the first live performance you have seen. BTS are all better live than in studio tracks. I thoroughly recommend watching more live performances. Happy for long videos where you do the studio (either MV or a colour coded lyric video if there is no MV) and then a live performance. Only if you want of course, don't mean to sound demanding 😂

Yes, Jin was incredibly nervous. He was performing at a stadium show without any of his members. He said he was really impressed that Hobi had done this at Lolla, not with a stadium but with more than 100,000 people in the crowd, which is more than this stadium show, and Hobi did a whole show, not one song. Jin was also performing alone with his idol, Chris Martin. Jin is the most successful fanboy ever.

I think that part wasn’t rehearsed so he didn’t know what Chris wanted to do. It’s super cute. I love this interaction. I think you would like the documentary about the making of My Universe when Chris went to Korea. Jin also wrote the Korean lyrics for this which is difficult because it’s hard to do without rewriting because translations are tricky. Tks for reacting to it.

little trivia. Army made little pacs of purple cellophane and tape for people without army bombs to tape over the phone lights, they made over 1K of them. Chris forgot the words, LOL. My universe MV is really cool. Jin is amazing Live. Jin flew 40 hrs to sing this one song to ARMY. It was day after his song dropped and the crowd knew every word. 💜

Thank you for reacting to this, Nick! 💜 There is not a time when I didn't cry while watching this 😭🤧 I miss Jin so much so thanks for doing this video 🙏💜 Jin's love for ARMY is immeasurable 🥺 Jin loves Coldplay since he was younger, so this is really an authentic and genuine relationship they had with each other. Chris Martin and the band members too are very supportive of BTS and Jin, especially. In their concert tour, Coldplay wears jackets with badges of Wootteo (the character that Jin made for The Astronaut) and they also performed TA in English with a whole choir with Wootteo logos on their shirts. So precious 💜 BTS' live stages, and Jin's live vocals are really the best more than the recorded ones. You'll see that when you watch more of their live performances, so please do so! Maybe try checking out EPIPHANY live by Jin. Thank you 🙏💜

This video is the most emotional for me, I cry everytime I watched, To Jin and Chris there is a really nice bond, Chris and Coldplay with BTS have established a true friendship of brotherly affection. Chris always remembers Jin and BTS in his concerts and not only defended BTS during some TV interviews where the host tried to speculate about their cooperation and friendship, Passing the message and insinuating that BTS , Jin with this song, exploit the notoriety of Coldplay and want to take full credit. Chris He didn't appreciate this attitude and didn't even think a second about putting the conductor back in place! I Coldplay have shown the world that they often judge, despise and criticize only for unjustified prejudices.

If you are wanting songs from individual members, I highly recommend Suga’s Shadow song. It’s artistically amazing, telling a story of the conflict between himself and his stage persona in the form of an inner dialogue. Highly recommendable

I can't believe you posted this just hours after J-Hope's last live before his military service. If I wasn't already crying.... 😭 This was not only Jin's temporary goodbye to ARMY, it was also his first concert appearance without the other members and he was really nervous but still pulled it off like this. I would recommend Dope and Blood, Sweat and Tears just to show a little of their range (trust me, it's really hard picking from their 200+ catalogue. 😅) or if you want to try one of their political songs/mvs try either Baepsae (no mv) + explanation video made by DKDKTV or "the Queen song" (because it's been on the South Korean charts non-stop for five years so far) Spring Day + explanation video made by Italian ARMY. Vocal line only: Zero O'clock (live stage mix) Rap line only: Ugh! (live from Busan concert) 💜

I love this song so much. I listen to it every time I miss JIn, which is like 10 tames a day. I went to the cinema to watch the live stream of the concert and cried. My friends didn't understand but luckily there were other ARMY there who cried with me. 💜

Perfect for today. J-hope said goodbye today. He is leaving for his military service. It’s great to know Jin is there. Coldplay understands how different their lives are compared to Western artist. This kind of friendship between the two groups shows the world how bright things can be. You may want to check out J-Hope’s goodbye song “On the Street”.

I still tear up when Jin is running up to Chris and they hug. The whole concert is great! It is going to be played again in theaters the 19th & 23rd. Her does a song with Chris and an Iranian woman (I don't remember her name) sings a protest song with Chris, it was filmed around the time that Iran was arresting women without a hijab, at least one woman had been killed. It is a very moving and beatiful performance.
