I'm surprised with you, Gaijin! You forgot to touch on his most important feature: His Goggles. One of the biggest weapons of a Ninja is his ability to deceive and distract his opponents, weaving discourse and confusion in their ranks. And Aizawa's goggles do exactly that: They obscure his eyes, making it impossible for anyone to know who's quirk he's erasing, forcing everyone on the defensive and even causing some serious confusion. This was most notable during the USJ Arc, while he fought the thugs. They couldn't effectively fight back BECAUSE of the confusion he caused thanks to his goggles, just like a ninja with smoke or fire.

Deku even said in the dub that aizawa mainly does stealth missions and one on one combat

I actually laughed when I learned that Aizawa likes cats, because he remind me of one! All the naps, the intense glare when he uses his quirk, quick reflexes and zero tolerance to bullshit. And the fact that he might not look like much at first glance, I mean, he looks kind of shabby, but turns into a fierce warrior when needed. A cat in human disguise! xD

I think one of the reasons this episode was so great was that the thought of Aizawa being a ninja had never crossed my mind until reading the title. He uses the ideals of ninjas without simply copying all of their techniques.

Wicked video on Aizawa! He's more of a Ninja than...well, most fake ninjas like Naruto and Soifon of Bleach. That's right! I said it! As much as I love Naruto, even I'll admit that the Ninjutsu and such in the show are meant to give more action to fights since...real ninjas would end things as quickly as possible rather than draw it out with what equates to magic in most fantasy settings. As for Bleach, I never really got that into it. After the Bount Arc, I just sort of dropped off since it was on a repeating cycle. Ichigo gets his ass kicked, has someone taken away (usually Orihime), trains, fights everyone that gets in his way, and eventually saves the kidnapped person.

Aisawas scarf is essentially a flexible kevlar band with extra lightweight metal mesh woven in, making it cut and tear resistant. Also, if the ends are slightly more weighted, it would give it enough weight to be thrown around the way he does

I knew you were eventually gonna do an Aizawa video, I was hoping to see more of how Aizawa was Ninja-like than just the Caltrops he threw and his Erasure quirk. Great Vid!!

Ok, that scene from Todoroki's final exam really bothers me. The caltrops stop him from just burning the scarf to get down, but Shoto could have easily made an ice slide beneath him, and THEN burned the scarf to get down safely. As shown at the beginning of Season 3 before any real training starts, we see Shoto light a small fire with just his hand, so he would be able to burn the scarf without melting the slide. This bothers me just as much as Toru beating both Deku and Mineta in Aizawa's fitness test.

Aizawa pretty much has to be good at hand to hand since his quirk only really evens the playing field. Aside from being able to negate someone's evocation quirk (somehow I'm not that clear on it) he's basically quirkless.

I'll be honest, while I should have expected it considering the topic, hearing Hyuman's rendition of "You Say Run" with traditional Japanese instruments caught me off guard. Excellent choice. Also glad that it appears your use was with their good graces, at least that's how I interpret the "provided by" in your description (hope I'm right).

This is the first video of yours I've watched, and I really like the idea. It seems like you've definitely put some time and effort into the research, and it seems pretty accurate and well thought out. Plus, you're not extremely dry and boring. Here's something I think would be a fun topic for a short video: how many ninja tricks did Grievous from Star Wars use. I've never watched the movies but I've been watching a few videos about Grievous lately and from what I understand the way he fights incorporates a couple of ninja tactics, namely his use of fear to distract his opponents and throw them off guard.

and this is just some of it! the more we learn about him the more we know this true! like his costume in general! how he chose a track suit because he believed it would let him blend in with the general public, unnoticed. and his goggles! @Tyrage's Fantasy World made great comment on it, but his goggles act as a means to confuse his opponents and give himself an advantage. plus you didn't even mention aizawa's sensory ability! at the usj, we can see him tensing and turning towards the plaza before the beginning of kuroguri's quirk had even appeared. it was subtle but it was there. and you know something?! HE'S THIS COOL AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN HIM IN HIS ELEMENT!! think about every time we've seen him fight it's been in near open areas in broad daylight. it's been said in and out of the show that aizawa typically works either at night or early morning. same as ninja's. so he's doing all of this when the conditions aren't in his favor. so i personally can't wait to see(though see is a loose term) him when fight when he's at his best and in his element! it is sure to be awesome. so glad to see there's a video on this.

As the title suggests, it takes place during the 戦国時代 and a young shinobi girl (I understand that they didn't make her a kunoichi for the sake of staying family friendly) gets hired by Oda Nobunaga. Thanks to your videos, I got to understand some references but I was wondering if there was something to use for a next episode of "Which ninja". Anyways, thanks for your videos. They are refreshing to watch between study sessions ^^

I actually rewatched season 1 and found that Eraserhead only lays on his left side once. He is on his left side in his introduction but then is on his right in two different scenes during the class representative episode. I can’t say for sure about the second season.

While probably not ninja, The Heroic legend of Arslan/Arslan Senki/Arslan Senki Fujin Ranbu. Arslan has a teammate called Narsus who uses absolutely amazing tactics and stratagems is the manga/anime. I'd absolutely love to see you have a look at the anime and see what kind of things you can find in it, it's a show I feel deserves so much more attention than it gets.
