Marshmallows are excellent. A food group all their own. New sub, I like you're vids. Starting from the beginning, and bouncing around a bit.

How about putting a flat deck on your truck? Then you could put storage boxes under the camper and have lots of room for the generator and tools and so much more. Just an idea.

I do love that idea, but the deck would have to be custom, I wouldn’t want a super heavy deck and would like to keep it as low profile as possible cause I hate a huge gap between camper and roof of the truck. Also weight is a consideration with a deck and I may have to go aluminum. lol you can see I’ve thought of this a lot 😂 it also would cost a lot!

Go north in June or September. Less people and fewer bugs. Heading to Utah in April. Good place to see the amazing geography. Zion, Bryce, Canyonland, check it out. Canada is the best place on earth to camp and live on the road, but always good to check out new horizons.

I run equipment and do road maintenance! Smaller can be nice for travel as it usually means better fuel mileage

Enjoyed the content , wondering what kind of mileage you get with your set up ?

My mpg can vary, my last trip to Whistler I seen about 14.5 mpg, which is very good for it, when I had a lighter camper I got about the same, the worst I’ve seen is about 12 mpg, these are both highway numbers. Around town I imagine is closer to 10 but the tank on the truck is so large I never end up recording in town just cause I can go about a month around town before it gets to empty. My summer mileage can get a bit better. I’m also running Yukon free spin hubs and there is no tuning done to the motor.

I’m running a 3” Carli and 37”x12.5r18, the rim back spacing is what makes it possible, Carli’s website say what it is

I thought your back cargo storage was brilliant. But if it's creating more problems, i get it. Maybe look for just a grill shelf n then cover gen when not in use, bolt it down, or a front grill cargo, like kenny of all trades has for his gen.? Carrying it in your cab, not such a good idea, like propane tanks inside is a not. Anyway I admire anyone who can work on their truck. So good job 👏. Truck looks good too, n btw a new truck still has part issues, so never mind new, nothing wrong with your truck. Ohh it's CAA in canada lol 😉. 🍻

I agree and think I might just go that route, long ago I did have it on a rack like that on the back and it was higher up and tucked away, I need to find a really good cover for generator as the one I was using that time lasted one trip unfortunately lol I complain about things on this truck here and there but in reality I’d prob end up buy the same year just a crew cab. It’s been a solid truck for always hauling a heavy back pack lol this truck will be on the channel for quite some time 🍻

We also have the 2016 2500 dodge ram and do our own repairs, so far. A couple of time when I brought in to the dealer to do the work, they did a poor job and end up redoing it myself. @simplyoffgridlife

I find most shops I’ve visited it’s that case, very frustrating when you pay someone to do the job to take the stress off you but you then get the vehicle back and new problems arise because they rushed it out and didn’t tighten bolts or lost them all together.

Recently with a dodge dealer in Calgary, they did a transmission flush, but only dump the tray and filter replace. I easily could done that myself, but wanted a transmission flush, requiring a pump. That is what a transmisson flush is! On top of that they didn't add enough fluid, so low, the dipstick wouldn't measure it. At the same time, they claim I needed disc, pad and caliper replaced. I ignored them, and did the job myself and only had to replace pads, the disc were find. One caliper was seized, which I replaced myself. Easy job. @simplyoffgridlife@@KevinWaldsAdventures

Be sure to check the grid heater connection. I check it on regular bases. There seem to be a failure, where the bolt drop into cyclinder 6, ruining the engine.
