No, this video show the sound of aftermaket exhaust, not stock (stock are very quiet) and neither the engine sound, if you want hear the engine sound look cabin videos like "0-200 NSX".

A few years ago I was talking to my brother about the NSX, "get some of your retirement money out and buy one". Found a mint '91, 48K miles, owner was a Lockheed engineer so the car was well maintained. Paid 32K, a fair price at the time. I have the NSX cell phone, looks like a wall home phone. The car was the 22nd one in the US. When new the dealer tacked on a 22K premium = 83K $. Getting on the expressway here in Atlanta I was into third gear pretty deep (80-90 mph) when I looked in the mirror, police. Tailed me for a couple miles, pulled beside me and gave me a thumbs up. Trivia, aluminum jack. Enjoyed the video!

I bought a 1-2 yr old red nsx back in the early 90s this was in Switzerland, my previous car was a new (wish i hadnt) zx twin turbo which looked ok but my zx brakes could not handle the power .The NSX was like a revelation when compared to anything else i had owned or known about, i was hooked as soon as i sat in that "cockpit" , At the time only certain Honda garages could work on the NSX .I used it often and it was even my wedding car but sadly i let it go after about 4-5 years of ownership.I have owned many great cars over the years including a XJ220 but i still miss the NSX, maybe one day i will get another though it will be in silver this time .
@brettgambell40963 жыл бұрын
Nice that you hold this car in such high regard even in the company of the XJ220. Funnily enough, the car in this video is now mine, and I also own a 300zx twin turbo! Totally different cars to each other. Both excellent in their own way :)

@@brettgambell4096 congrats on the NSX !. i remember being stopped at the swiss french border by the french in my nsx and told to get out and put my hands on the cars roof as i was frisked, they didnt believe someone young owned such a beautiful car .. The Xj220 i owned was fantastic to look at i drove it at 185mph in france on my way to switzerland it had no brake servo so zero brakes at low speed. scary. i have owned many cars from vintage,classic to super cars but the NSX was an all round great car, though i think it could have handled a little more power

Thanks a bunch! That's probably the most underrated real - and mid engined! - sportscar of all times... :-)

Scott, you definitely made the right choice over a 'pendulum-effect' 911, which also happen to be common as. At least the engine in the Honda is the right place, and as you said appreciating fast.

Been watching this video at least weekly since it was uploaded. It's shot so well, such a beautiful scenery and the soundtrack is cool. Scott's setup made me appreciate the Sebring Silver colour on an NSX, his looks spot on. Last week, I bought my own and I'm glad it came with the same exhaust because, damn... A dream come true.

Other than the Format67 video of the NSX, this is my favorite. I can re-watch this video over and over. Impeccably produced and other video producers should take note. Keep up the great work and always a fan of this channel!

Just like the others, like Nissan Skyline GTR, Mazda RX7 and Toyota Supra, this NSX is a sport car to me. Supercar looking sport car with Ferrari taste.

Hello Scott: Thanks for sharing your story with us. I like the Senna shirt and very interesting how the UK issues their license plate numbers. Yours came close but it would have been fantastic if your license plate number read F16 NSX. By the way, a magnificent precision timepiece that I am also very proud to own a 1991.

Of the three Sporty Japanese cars of that era (R34, Supra & NSX), it was by far the prettiest. But, for me, a Super Car has to top 200MPH, to be 2-door and at least slightly impractical. (For these reasons I'd hesitate to call a 911 turbo a Super Car.)
@user-zd3kq6ed1m9 жыл бұрын
These were not "sporty" cars, even today. A Mini cooper S is a sporty car. These were sportscars or supercars, especially for the NSX and the R34.
@Redstoneprime3166 жыл бұрын
Tj930 I'm guessing classic supercars (such as the Miura or 250 GTO) are exempt from your "200mph+" rule?

Is it considered a supercar? -- Coming from a super fan of these cars. Take no offense to this question, please! I'm curious about the performance, rarity, price, etc. of it compared to the Lamborghini and Ferraris, and then Porsches, of its era. I absolutely love these cars and believe them to be greatly underrated due to low HP specs.
@TassieLorenzo8 жыл бұрын
+Xo na (Matthew Doucette) Sort of, not really. It's closer to the Porsche 911 IMO. Doesn't really matter anyhow. :)
@JohanSalvattore8 жыл бұрын
+Xo na (Matthew Doucette) Not by today standards, definitely one when it came out. It revolutionized the way super cars were built while beating Ferraris and Porsches in the same category as this one and even some giants. Performance has the best stock recorded 1/4 mile at 12.4 from an nsx zero (very rare) 0-60 times also depend on year and drivetrain but 4.3 times have been recorded Price also depends on the variants mentioned above, they range from 30k all the way to 75k.

10yrs ago ou could of gotten this car for way lower then now but a car is valued by how much a person is willing to pay I would only offer around 30k no more if I had the financial backing

+Michael Burford I remember seeing one like 3 years ago for 17K lol... it had a salvage title though.
@hushg20008 жыл бұрын
M3 e30 and m28 M5's go for $30-60k in the states ... not worth it considering it doesn't have the craftsmanship or history like the NSX. So it's really not what folks are willing to pay, it's the exclusivity and engineering you're paying for. Demand is up and supply is down is what makes prices skyrocket.
