Taji will learn the tough and dirty portable toilet business by cleaning out crap-covered porta potties, pumping out waste from a roadside porta potty, and seeing what happens to the crap from New York City’s porta potties. I loved this one. So great to hear about how they loved their work. I hate when ppl look down on certain jobs- be it Walmart, garbage man, McDonald's, etc. You might find they like what they're doing even more than most! We all define success for ourselves. Loving your work and taking pride in what you do sounds like a great definition of success to me!

Ok so, my cousin owns a septic service that does exactly what this company does, and everything in-between, and one time, we pumped the septic tanks from a local gas station/country store, (we live in SE Appalachia) and there were over 200+ syringes, and condoms, diapers, etc. in the tanks. Mad respect and love for these dudes

But, if you work at a job where the person directly managing you (generally one or two positions above you) doesn't have experience in a position directly related to yours, you should look for a job at a different company immediately.

I had an experience working in a sewage treatment station... and i have to say... as time goes by you just get used with the smell... and its a job no one wants, so there's plenty of jobs out there...

I also work in this business. And the only thing that I will comment on is the fact they're using latex gloves. They should be using is latex dipped work gloves. They have far greater durability. With Porta potty's, you have no idea what you'll find, and latex gloves provide ZERO protection. And you don't want any part of you getting cut or stabbed by a needle or glass or whatever.

I work in surface mining in Wyoming. One time i pulled up to our shop to get something and the waste company was cleaning out one of the shitters. It was middle of summer and the heat and smell was unbearable. The cleaner was standing at the shitter sucking the waste out and in his hand was a sandwich. He didnt care one bit about the horrible smell. He was just doing his job and enjoying a quick lunch! True hero!
