How u started this discussion and convinced ur managers about this? 2. In ur current role, I assume some senior devs with around 10 years exp might be reporting to you. How is that working out?

Typically depends on the level Generally there is a gap of around 10-20% in every level. Where the SDM pay bands are 10-20% more than SDE

@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay I mean, suppose there are two guys having similar skills but the tier 3 have a slight edge in skills( tier 1 guy is slightly less skilled than the tier 3 guy). And the tier 1 is BTech non circuital and tier 3 guy is BTech CSE. Who would get promoted?

Bro you really motivate me to work hard and not give up. Generally SDE2 gets promoted to SDE3, but you made it to Manager role, that is awesome. Is that a double promotion that you got at amazon?

No. This is not a promotion. This is a role change. At Amazon just like other companies the manager role runs parallel to the IC role. So i am transitioning from the IC role to the manager role.

We are the drivers of our own career in most of the big tech companies. So you should be starting the conversation with your manager so that they can align projects to gather relevant data points to make the promo happen

How is this possible? You can become lead engineer in 5 years in rare cases. Most of the time it is SDE-2 for 5 years experience. Engineer managers are a level less than principal engineer and engineer managers have experience of atleast 9-10 years in best cases.

Just a question....plz reply Do you think a software engineer as an sde2 at companies kyk google amazon uber etc in india can EASILY buy a car of around 40 lakhs (without loan) with 5 -6yrs of experience and working at faang in all of these five years or it will be very tough for him(I know chahe to kharid lega hi but jst want to know will it take away most savings)? Aur kuch. Mahine ke gin ke 4 video aate hai. Agar ginna nai ata phir comment karne ku chale aate ho. Aur agr tumhe yeh lagta hai ki company me.kaam karke banda 4 video bhi nai bana sakta 30 din me, to mere dost, aap bohot he ganda kaam karte ho. Itna time lagna he nahi chahiye. Ginke 30 - 40 ghante lagte hai for work sab kuch mila ke, ek hafte me. Agar isse zyada lag rhe hai toh phir aap ya to company change kare ya khud kaam dhang se kare. Yaha faltu ka comment karne se kuch nai hoga. Baaki company wale, jo banda company ka kaam nai karta usko manager to nai he banaenge 🫡 Aur kaisi bewakoofo jaisi baatein hai. Company ka kaam karte hue tu kaise dekhega. KZfaq pe thodi show karta hu. Itna bhi basic IQ nai hai aur kya he bole uske baad.

PLS DO NOT PROMOTE ANY AGENCY OR INSTITUTE ....................... A talented guy can crack any interview without doing any course. U can finish the same course in Udemy by just paying 500 Rs - 2000 Rs ....... Will crio offer a course at this price ???? Above all Udemy has professional guys who are working in the USA ............its not an indian group like BYJU's.

This video sounded more like a paid promotion for Amazon than anything else. I hope someday you come up with the truth.

This is the truth. And for amazon it was just the last few minutes. Mostly starting after 8-9 minutes(so hardly around 5 mins out of 16, less than even 30%) . Obviously it will contain my experiences, that's what the journey should contain right. If i have worked in arcesium and Amazon, it will contain excerpts from it. If this is what you got from the video then definitely, you have a lot to learn about software engineering 😊.
