@@TheWanderingCat18 i learned the "dusting with cornstarch" trick at the first resturant I worked in. Its how they keep the beer batter on the the onion rings so they are picture perfect. I'd helped my mom cook for years and we always had quite a few onion rings where the batter didn't stick and the big old onion hangs out-i have since used that trick on several batter dipped items and it seems to really help. Especially on mushrooms. Gee it sounds like we dip and fry everything 😆 its basically a once or twice a year treat now that we are getting older lol. Another trick for deep fried mushrooms -precook them whole in seasoned water , like garlic and salt and what else you like to use. Then dry them, dust with the cornstarch and dip in batter and fry. Totally game changer for my mushroom loving family lol. It ends the big hollow batter ball with a small mushroom inside. I see lots of TV chefs and KZfaq chefs and cooks catching on now too. I think youtube has helped me up my foodie game a lot by all the recipe sharing thats done. Especially the channels from the different provinces in China, during lock down our favorite Chinese/ Japanese/ Korean place closed. We missed their food so much. With online ordering I can find almost any ingredients needed too. Son calls my pantry the "weird food science" cupboard lol Have a great day 🥰

Most Korean recipes are sweet since they used sugar like salt. It takes a bit to get used to eat but I encourage you eat more Korean dishes. I love them

We did the little cubes of potatoes too but I'm lazy and like cornmeal in my corn dogs so I use jiffy corn muffin mix and their corndog recipe on their website lol. (Not sure if jiffy mix is only in the US and Canada tho sorry. 🤷‍♀️)
