I finally watched this show and had no idea about the fantasy element and was surprised (my reaction to Susannah turning into a bird was just like yours), had just seen some memes about horses.... Don't like narration in general, but he made the show (it is not the same actor doing the narration). Please continue with the reactions.

I think you were looking for the word satire when comparing this show to The Boys. It's a fun romp. I've enjoyed it more than most things I've watched lately. Enemies to lovers is a lot more fun, I agree.
