I don't think that landlord wants to date her boyfriend. You maybe surprised why grandma is treating him nice.. Maybe he looks like her grandson or someone she cherished. And she is definitely lonely so wants to make him her son. She just needs to be respectfully reminded by the boyfriend he's not her son. It's sad this girl could even be jealous of that old woman. I'll rather join my boyfriend whenever grandma comes and we all cook the dumpling together!

older people just love to talk they're from a different generation that grew up without social media or cell phones people had to learn how to social. So an 85 year old talking for 3 hours is normal because they have so much life experience and when they wanted to get to know someone they actually had to socialize and learn social skills. I dont think that grandma wants her man old people will talk to anyone for hours on end

To the newly wed; tell the husband you guys have to be there 1- 2hrs earlier than you actually have to be there. And if you have 2 bathrooms, that’ll definitely save you time.

This is a power dynamic that has to be treaded carefully because you know how people who have more power than you often act. Eviction would be on the table and never think it isn't.

Elder or no elder, there needs to be some boundaries established with that landlady. She may or may not have a crush, but the boyfriend is a tenant and not some little friend. She’s being unprofessional and disrespectful because it sounds like she’s only approaching the boyfriend every 5 minutes, not his lady. She’s not so old that she can’t hear an opposing perspective.

I believe this young lady story about her landlady. Why? Because right at this moment my 84yrs old strong landlady has told me last Sunday it's my child father she likes not me. I should move in with her,with my daughter and give my man the apartment for himself. I told her no! I am the one rent it,paying myself for it. She call me the next day to tell me I am arrogant. This woman keep calling my 55yrs old man over her house, to chat for hours. I have to be calling him to end their conversation. I allowed him over there as I do the catch-up on my child homework, but my man do the cooking, or start the dinner, that's over routine. I move there in September this year. What I did is to sent my man packing,without any outburst, just back to his own house. This makes my landlord angry ,always want to know where he is,, why is he not here? That's when she told me,my man should take charge of things. Lol. I am the bread winner, when she find out that this man has no money, I am the sole provider/God only help me. She call me arrogant. I simply reply it's call INDEPENDENT
