the biting is called "cute aggression" and yes there is science behind it. Basically what is happening is your brain gets overwhelmed with the 'omg i love it' input so as a response to try and keep itself balanced it sends out signals for aggression

@@hopperwolf2They do that because, their bellies are very sensitive to touch and they get overstimulated to the point where it hurts them. Also they have an instinctual need to protect their bellies because that's where their important organs are. So if they let you rub their belly it means that they really love and trust you :)

The answer to the biting urge is called Cute Aggression! Basically you have so much affection for that person that your brain doesn't know what to do, so it tries to calm itself down and balance out with a negative response, like biting. You basically love them so much your brain tells you to bite to stop the overwhelming love!

The vomit/popcorn receptacle is so true!!! My family would keep these giant ice cream buckets and reuse them for popcorn - but if you got sick, the popcorn bucket became the barf bucket. And I don’t think there was ever much of a distinction made between the popcorn buckets and barf buckets.

That little derp reminded me of this Tik Tok I saw where a lady showed us her childhood stuffed dog and it was so withered and bedraggled that it barely resembled a dog anymore. 1:30 I'm not an animal expert by any means so feel free to correct me but that looks like a brush-tailed possum to me. It's a nocturnal mammal that lives mainly in Australia and New Zealand. Apparently they like to raid kitchens so that's probably what the little guy was trying to do and then he was like "ooh it's so warm right here"

Regarding hot dogs, we would usually boil them in a malt liquor or beer for a brine. But, on occasion, we would grill them, cook-out-style. The boiling brine was more of a ball park method of cooking them, but the grilled method was more flavorful.

Okay but I doubt many Americans here have seen Australian possums’ feet up close or heard what their calls sound like. Your possums are cute with hellish noises, ours are halfway between cute and ugly and don’t make too much noise aside from hissing and growling. Opossums (we call them possums casually) also aren’t aggressive despite what their looks would have you think.

I wear sunglasses at night so my TBI 9traumatic brain injury) induced light sensitivity doesn't blind me when driving or walking. I two pairs, gold for outdoor driving and walks when working out and grey for indoor activist that do not require reading. I need third pair for working on the computer as they require a reading prescription. I just got these shades and they are life saviors. So from 1999 to December 2023 I did not have any prescription sunglasses and didn't even realize everyone else didn't have light sensitivity like I did. As I live in texas, going out around noon without shades made me so blind, i have to look down at the cement and power my way home and many times i had tears running down my face by that time.

That was something I never understood; families having a puke bowl. Whenever someone in my house (namely me or my brother) ever felt like we would be sick, someone would always tell us to get to the bathroom, or they would get the trashcan. I think it was one of those situations where we might want to use that bowl again. And, if we were to throw up in it - even if it were sterilized - we would never be able to look at it again the same way. If I threw up, I couldn't even look at the clothes I was wearing again even if I didn't throw up on them. They would trigger a memory of a rather yucky experience.

My mom always put some kind of essential oil in the bottom of the trashcan during bouts of stomach bugs....and yeah I feel that in my soul. The smell makes me nauseous, funny how that works.

We just puked in the toilet or a ice cream pail then promptly emptied and rinsed it out for the next round when it simmered down a bit but threw it out afterwards

We would always yell “mom get the bowl” and everyone knew exactly what bowl it was. The blue plastic bowl with the inside and rim being white originally but now stained to an eggshell/off white color, that was used for popcorn but also convenient for throwing up in. Every time I look at that bowl I get ptsd. My mother still has it 😂

You're in a very transitional point in your life, Kris. You have, from what I've listened from you, alot going on girl and you're doing amazing.
