Hey Everybody, as some of you know I've just added Livescope to my Hobie Outback! I had a hard time finding information on how to rig this thing up so I put together this little walkthrough video to help anybody looking to do the same. Super excited to get on top of a school of crappie or wipers with this thing!

I have recently got newer amped outdoors 32ah 14.8v lithium battery it weighs just under 4lbs. I'm running ultra 106sv, lvs34 & steady cast. It runs them all for 12+hours. I've seen people using different batteries for head & gls10 but I haven't had any issues. Keep my battery in diy box behind my seat. Run a 10aw wire from it up to front that then all 3 things tie together

I need a longer network cable, but Im wondering why you mounted the black box where you did as opposed to putting it in a padded case in the front hatch. I have an older Revo 13 that doesnt have all the conveniences of the newer ones. Ill be running all my cables through my front hatch. Thank you for a great video

Thanks for this bro. Not a lot of LS kayak set up videos out there. Question.. I got a ice bundle too and power cable and network cables are a bit short so I’m limited to where I can place my set up. Where did you get your network cable and power cable? Been having a hard time mainly finding a longer power cable.
@FishingKit

Hey thanks for watching the video! I pieced my LiveScope and screen together separately so I didn't have to buy any extra cables. There should be a parts list on Garmin's website if not you should be able to search for the parts for your graph on Google. I'd give ya a link but IDK what graph you have. Good luck!

Nice set up! I just treated myself to a Garmin Echomap 95SV & the Panoptix Livescope system for my Wilderness Radar 135. It’s winter where I’m located so luckily I have until spring to figure out how I’m going to install the Livescope system. With you having and using this set up for the last 8 months, did you have any issues with heat build up in the hull overheating the black box?

How is it traveling with the livescope on the mount? That’s the only thing I’m worried about adding Livescope to my Hobie PA. It seems like wiring in through the hull you can’t easily remove it for traveling.
@FishingKit
@FishingKit Жыл бұрын
It isn't really an issue if you remove the transducer from the pole. I just take it off the pole and stick it in one of the pockets on the side or use the Bungie in the middle to hold it down.
@StevenYe
@StevenYe 2 жыл бұрын
That’s so helpful. I mainly get what i need. Just one more question, as you put the black box in the hull, the transducer get to outside through the hull. After each trip, during the transport and storage, where you put your transducer. It supposed to be hanging out side. Am I correct? Thank you
@FishingKit
@FishingKit 2 жыл бұрын
I just take the arm off and stow it under a Bungie that comes with my kayak. It's kinda where the seat goes, so the transducer doesn't come off the yak until ice fishing but I store it in my garage. Thanks for watching!

There's a few other vendors out there but I can't think of any off the top of my head. I think some people use an h-rail mount connected to whatever base you're using, like a h trail to ram mount. There's a few livescope groups on Facebook that should be pretty helpful like the Livescope addicts group. Sorry I couldn't be helpful in that regard.

are you happy with the 7in screen, I'm thinking about getting livescope for my kayak and am debating on screen size. also if you flip you kayak would the fishfinder and livescope be damaged?
@FishingKit
@FishingKit 2 жыл бұрын
The 7inch is good, but there are times I wish I had a bigger screen, like a 9 inch especially when I take it off the kayak for ice fishing. It doesn't sound like much but 2 more inches makes a huge difference which could make it a bit more cumbersome. As far as flipping the yak, the transducer itself is mostly likely fine and my gls10 is elevated inside the kayak, not sure about the head unit though I'm guessing it depends how long it stays submerged. Hopefully I never have to find out!
