Boy... this year has been full of hospital visits for everyone, pets included. Here's to the other half of the year being at least normal. Because man everyone deserves to have that.

I was so heartbroken over losing my girl who was a month older than Simba....he is strong and knows you love him..he will survive this have faith. Mine happened in a matter of an hour .emergency room doctor's and nurses said her heart just stopped. I had no warning no signs of anything wrong. So bless him and he will be loved and continue to love you back. He is strong.❤❤❤❤❤

It was so great to see Simba resting after his ordeal. I know you must be so relieved having him home! I know when Ezra stopped eating for weeks, two vets it was still complicated. The X-rays didn't show any objects although in fairness? The vet was looking for coins or nails, something metallic? After 2 weeks of critical care he pooped out a footie! I can't believe he stored and pooped it. And Simba just has to feel better not having those things rotting inside him! I can't even imagine! I know he will do well under your care. Keep us posted please.

Awe,poor Simba has been through so much this is year! It's really good that the cbc showed no elevated wbc, because he could have easily become septic from those being stuck in there so that's pretty awesome! I know some people are going to be distressed by how he looks but I'm kinda jealous- I would love to have every muscle that relaxed for a few days I know it's from his meds to ensure that he gives his body a chance to start healing back together- connective tissues are making fine mends that are the base of new structures &layers that are being rebuilt...as for the eggs themselves they may be soft but sometime they can have a texture to the leathery shell that can cause them to stick...and it doesn't take much for something to star to adhere to an intestinal wall- just being porous could have cause that. Adhesions come in all shapes and sizes trust me. And I'm so glad he did well they the procedure and the recovery! And I applaud you for going to such lengths to actually keep your pets wound clean and dry..you make me so proud!!!❤ and keeping him warm and hydratedis key to a good recovery (from everything I know about reptiles specifically) any animal it helps with their profusion which is one of the key things for anesthetic recovery as well as fluids to help flush the anesthetic out of the system and keep the animal hydrated until they are able to drink themselves...I do wish a speedy recovery and a Get Well Simba, I want to hear that he's going through another shed, a sign that his body is definitely healing all the way around!!!❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Sorry for being late to the story. I'll watch the follow up vids next, but seems like he's in good shape. Best wishes Simba! And your lucky that it sounds like you heal quicker than us hoomans! First week of last December I had to have major abdominal surgery - bowel resection, bladder repair, and a kiwi fruit-sized growth attached to my adrenal gland removed. I'd been making jokes about how they were going to "Gut me like fish"; the first time they removed the bandages I realized I'd been split from pelvis to sternum!!!! They'd stapled me back together and it legit looked like a zipper- I tried counting then once but lost track after 100. Even now the scar resembles railroad tacks. Six months on and I'm probably still not quite fully healed. Nothing like prehistoric genetics to produce survivors. Best wished to you and your scaly pre-feline!

Poor Simba By the way, a great way to break up tablets for this is to put it in a small syringe, suck up a little water, then block the end and yank on the syringe then let it go a few times. The impact will break up even quite large pills very well, and you can just squirt out the paste.
