Pretty cool Andy. I have a 1983 QV Coupe in metallic red. Also very rare... 1 of 69 total QV Coupes for USA. Stock other than I also put 348 wheels on it, which I agree make it look even better. A classic car that has aged so well. Few car things are better than a sweet song of the Italian V8 and a gated shifter. Such a joy!

I think I met the previous owner of this car in Chicago -- approached me in parking lot to talk about my 3.2 Carrera, and then mentioned he had a black Mondial with carbs (believe it or not, a black Mondial coupe was my boyhood dream car -- go figure). Anyway, since then I have always been hoping to catch a glimpse of it. This video explains why I haven't.

Looks amazing, probably the most misunderstood car ever. These are amazing.

It sure has been a long wait I have been looking forward to some follow-up videos on this 3.2 Mondial Coupe. I own a 1986 Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Coupe here in Oxfordshire U.K and they are very rare indeed only 987 ever produced worldwide mine is one of 87 RHD versions. It's great to see someone covering this incredibly rare "under-the-radar Ferrari"... It's a great car!

The best Mondial that I've seen. Made me smile. I like the idea of turbo charging the 8 cylinders.Living in Turkey anything over 2 litres is crazy taxes. Gives me ideas of a 208 Turbo!!!

I think your car looks great.I've always liked the Mondial,along with the 365 GT4 2+2,the 400 and the 412.My favorite Ferrari is the 612 Scaglietti so apparently I have a soft spot for the cars everyone love to hate.Great job on the interior.

I did the video of this car (Wolf in Sheep's clothing) with Aaron before he sold it. I now own his Red ('82) car also with a turbo and modern EFI. The gold wheels look great on that car, nicely done!

You live close to me. I am in Midlothian/Moseley. I have an '85 QV Cabriolet. Silver 348 Wheels. I saw the video of your car on ATSRacing. They did a killer job of making that thing sick fast! I am working on a bent valve, but we should get together and cruise some twisties in early spring. I had the leather redone - its beautiful and turns heads.

You mounted the alloy wheels of the 348 ...aesthetic choice that I do not understand. Anyway, you must know that the 348 rims have rays with propeller design, whose conformation is such that when the car is in motion, they create a vortex of air. This vortex is channeled inside the rims in order to increase the cooling of the brake discs for an always efficient braking. Identify how to mount the circle correctly, it is simple: the flat part (and thicker) must be mounted in rotation's direction.. So you mounted the right rear correctly and the right fronts wrong. Love to see your car on the Smoking Tire with Matt or Klapman driving it in the canyons ..

Where did you get your wheels? You have a left hand wheel on the right front side of the car. The sharp (wedge shaped) side of the spokes should be on the trailing edge (with respect to rotation). Compare the front and rear wheels at 0:35

Yeah, it’s unfortunate… you’re one of the few people who picked that up. I bought them off a guy in PA. A friend picked them up and I sent them straight off to powder coat. Only when I got them back did I realize I had two front lefts. The guy in PA screwed me. I’m casually looking for a replacement (people want a ton for just one wheel - almost the same as a full set), but I honestly stopped worrying about it so much.

You keep talking about the original carburetors, but AFAIK all Mondials (Mondial 8, Mondial QV, Mondial 3.2 & Mondial T) were fuel injected?
@andys_toy_story6 ай бұрын
This car went through iterations of modification. Stock, carb’d, built motor with carbs (310whp), and then turbo’d. It was in Forza Magazine as a carb’d car in ‘09. The turbo what put on in ‘18.
@andys_toy_story6 ай бұрын
But short answer, yes they only came with fuel injection from the factory… if you hit me up on insta I can send you pics of the magazine so you can learn more about how it was built in 09
@floorgallery30266 ай бұрын
First of all Mondial was never built with a carburettor engine. Also the most hideous Ferrari design ever made after the 348 Tb and finally the Dino 308 GT4 (WEDGE)
@andys_toy_story6 ай бұрын
@@floorgallery3026 word, cool. Mine was modified to run carbs. I like the look. looks are subjective, maybe not the prettiest Fcar, but it’s definitely not a Pontiac Aztec
