That being said, we really love this song and we had a blast filming it. The song is called, "Liking You" in English and "喜欢你“ in Chinese. Well done to you and your mom - I speak both Cantonese and English fluently ( migrated to Australia from HK as a child) so in a good position to comment. Apart from a few words, the pronunciation is perfect 👌. I can’t believe what you can master after just one week of Cantonese lessons - amazing and keep up the good work!

Amazing. I'm a native Cantonese speaker and some my friends can't even sing this song despite 喜歡你 being on of the most popular Cantonese songs. Can't imagine how much efforts both you and mommy has done to learn and practice to be able to pull this out.

@@lyhthegreat Right. I think "Shanghai Beach", ("The Bund") by Glorious Francis Yip is more popular. (From the show that established Chow Yun Fat.) But KUDOS to these ladies; it seems this song is difficult to sing. I see that the Mom also sang Shanghai Beach; will check it out.

@@lyhthegreat No. . . this isn't the most poplar Cantonese song of all time in whole Chinese history. . But WKK is definitely brilliant. This song does belong to top known canto song of all time for sure. HKG Cantonese grammar is like free styling. However, Ngo Dae Ngoi Lei would be correct way to say+ pronounce.

The word "話" as in "廣東話" is pronounced as "wah", not "hwa". You did great! Keep it up!

This is so good 🥰 so much talent in the singing and of course language skills, considering you only started learning Cantonese recently, I know even being fluent in mandarin would still be a hard transition to Cantonese, I can speak Cantonese but don’t understand mandarin so loving that you have English subtitles in all your videos.

About Cantonese tones, there's a way to kind of remember them. 「三碗半牛腩麵一百碟」are nine words of the nine different tones and in order from 1-9! It's pretty neat.

That was so beautiful and amazing! Much appreciation for your efforts in Cantonese, you've picked it up so quickly! As for the 'n' and 'l' variations in some Cantonese words, the 'n' pronunciation is the more accurate and official way of saying things (as in 你 would be 'nei') while the 'l' variation ('lei') is used in a more colloquial manner. These arose due to 懶音 where people were seeking an easier way to pronounce words. You're doing amazing, keep up the great work❤ Let's keep 廣東話 alive💪
