My favourites are the stretch cords and the puffer jacket. I haven’t seen stretch corduroy but I imagine it makes the trousers are very cosy !

Hi Theresa. You might try wearing the lovely color-blocked quilted vest with the Wanda wrap dress you made. I think it would pick up the colors in the print. I know one fabric is more informal, textured, and soft colors versus the other fabric that's more formal, polished, and deep colors. But it might work. Glad you've had a snuggly autumn, Antonia

Your vest is still my fave! I love the way you color blocked it. The colors are quintessential you. Perfect. It looks so cozy - I have the same reasoning about a vest - why? my arms are cold, my hands are cold - why a vest? Also - I think what you did with the snaps is so clever. Watching your last few videos, I am so struck by how much the autumnal colors look so good on you. I think you should remake that Adriennne blouse in a navy or a rust.

You may be on to something- I've been thinking of making another Adrienne blouse at some point. I could do with one anymore autumnal shade. I don't want to feel too hemmed-in to a color palette, but it definitely am really gravitating towards certain colors. It's been nice to lean into that to make a more cohesive wardrobe. And I love hearing that the colors of my vest are quintessential to me. I totally agree. I love it so much!

Great review again. This fall, I have been making a concerted effort to wear lots of my clothes and styling them in different ways. I have been taking photos to track my combos. Wearing all my jeans from high waisted dark wash flares to my brown barrel shaped cropped Levi's. Matched up with blouses, upscale pullovers and flannel shirts. I have even been wearing my skirts with thick tights and a cropped cardigan or short tweed blazer. (I didn't make that, I thrifted a Chaps Ralph Lauren that had probably never been worn as the pockets were still sewn shut😂) Next thing I need to do is purge all the clothes in the closet I haven't been able to integrate into my current life. I have already identified a couple of holes that I need to order fabric and start making/filling. Totally inspired by Izzy of Dizzy Quilts and Sews.

That sounds like such a thoughtful approach, Nancy! I do find it exhausting to take daily photos throughout me-made-May. I'm not sure I'm willing to go to the effort every day. I know that you don't necessarily need to be fancy photos, but even a mirror selfie can be a bit tiring. Haha. It really is the best way to document and assess, though. I also love the idea of mixing and matching in new ways. That is something I would love to experiment with. It's so easy to just go for the combinations that we know work well. And then the same things tend to get worn again and again. You are inspiring me, Nancy!

It isn't glamorous but in the winter i wear longjohns. It legit, i suppose we would say these days. I generally buy merino ones from Icebreaker, unfortunately we are having a biscuits bake even more-my brand new ones have been nicked in several places! I live in Switzerland but i started wearing longjohns in the winter when i lived in my birthplace, Scotland. Hats, gloves, scarves, longjohns-these things makes winter bearable for me I am going to have a go with those"70s” jeans. I love a good pair of chefs, to. Generally inspired by your sewing: 0)

Haha, glamor is not always everything. I love some longjohns! I don't find it too cold in London, so I wouldn't say that I would wear them a ton. They are such a staple though, and colder climates. Merino longjohns sound dreamy!

Oh yes, I have a khaki green planned pair of trousers planned, but those are all really good options. I had a chocolate brown and goldenrod pair of corduroys I loved in the 90s.
