New Rory & Mal

Күн бұрын

...You already know. Let's get into it.
The team jumps immediately into discussion regarding the Will Smith v. Chris Rock Oscar fiasco, giving their individual opinions, which leads to a heated debate about who was right and wrong in the scenario. The examine it from all sides, including Chris Rock's comedic history, and Will Smith's marital scandals. Eventually, they agree to disagree and congratulate Will on his Best Actor win. They then tease Rory about his Peacock's getting flambéed at the Elite 8 round of the championships, and he dies on the hill with his team and dignity. They recap their night out for Demaris' birthday in LA, and call her out for talking a good game but not living by it. This reminds Rory to take Mal to Homie Court for a slip up he made that put Rory in a tough spot, and the team requests the listeners to be the jury and decide a verdict based on the evidence. They get into new music, Freddie v. Benny, + more!

Her emotional energy is apart of the reason we have young men raised in our community that can't handle tough situations and words without violence. We have to learn and show our young that you are larger than the words that people say to us... Point blank period, you can be offended, you can check him, you can pull him to the side etc... You can't go up and slap folks that say stuff we don't like.

Baby D is wrong on this issue, the Oscars is meant to be an award show for the actors, but also a roast of the actors to all the audience watching at home. These guys are millionaires, being the butt of a joke for the audience's entertainment is how award ceremonies operate. Will Smith's act of bravado, to me, is nothing short of a display of a character with deeper internal conflicts. And justifying violence to defend your "family's honour" is nothing short of deflecting responsibility and accountability for your actions.

I had high hopes for a 3rd mic but Demaris is not it. I was hoping it was going to be Weezy, because they had some great chemistry. Most of the time when Demaris speaks it either sounds like someone who still has a high school mentality, or is speaking from emotion and no logic. Two similar examples stand out to me.Scottie Beam getting removed from state of the culture, because she brought some of the same vibes. Or when Joe tried to give Savon more mic time. You realize he’s good to crack a few jokes, but is nowhere near a constant contributor.

We have a lot of men dead and in jail because of women like Demaris. Defending your wife is one thing, however there are ways to handle situations before it should even escalate to that. He looked like a complete fool in front of the entire globe. The Oscar’s heard the complaints and adjusted accordingly. We don’t even know that because he took away from the entire show. Of course you have a ton of black women hyping the dumb shit-as usual. Mal is 100% correct, this was absolutely ridiculous.

Chris didnt embaress Jada, she proudly wears her bald head that she purposely shaved into that style. She doesnt wear scarves, hats or a wig to cover it, she walks around bald and even said she didnt care what ppl said about her bald head. Damaris sound like a clown. Rory is white and can't look like he doesn't respect Black women. Mal is on point. Honestly, if you look at our community and the increase in violence it coincides with the removal of Fathers from the household. My father was born on a plantation in Mississippi, raised on the Westside of Chicago and just retired from the trades. He taught me from a young age to CONTROL MY TEMPER. People will have you out here playing yourself by using your emotions against you. I still live in Chicago. everybody hears the stories. most of the violence is RETALIATION. When you choose violence, there's somebody else who is A-OK with matching hence the term 'Cycle of Violence'. No one every as concerned about your shit as you are. There are some people who quick to weaponize other people's bodies but never have to deal with the consequences. Will Smith didn't have a stand up moment, that was a breakdown.

Y’all giving the average person too much courage . Most people in the crowd heckle , most times a comedian call them out physically the heckler backs down or gets throw out .

No, he was being polite and laughing at a bad joke like every body has to at award shows…. but then he saw his wife was actually hurt and broke his “pc character” and handled Chris Rock the way he and many other celebrities have wanted to for a while now … You all gotta stop being so soft… one man slapped a man … get over it
