Dutch, Norwegian, English, and currently self-studying French. I want to learn German, Spanish and Russian, too, but no idea what to do first. Thanks for the video and good luck learning Swahili!

"Swahili is spoken by almost 20 million people" The estimation is way off. Tz population is 60 million and all of them are speaking swahili, now add Kenya, Uganda, Congo etc.. I would say almost 200 million. Great content 👍🏾👍🏾

20 million is a very low estimate. The population of kenya alone is over 40 million and everybody speaks Kiswahili. It's a national language here. Add Tanzani, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Yemen, yes yemen... many others too.

dude i just excited you are on this. awesome. I learned swahili two years ago but noone to speak with so the law of the forgetting curve but it was so hard trying to use memory palaces on this cause the words , the grammar the rules are so different from romance languages. i want to know all the tricks challenges and blocks you run into.

Very cool project! I do love a good mnemonic, as once it's in, you really don't just 'forget' them. I'd recommend you look at some of Vladimir Skultety's writing about language learning. He has reached an extremely high level in many languages, and he says that memory techniques don't really help long term with achieving a high level of fluency, and can even hinder it! If you really want to live and breathe the language, then you may want to consider a more real-to-life-context exclusive approach.

Great content!! Why don't you try to use Anki to learn vocab? And about the input vs output theory... Look up Stephen Krashen theory on this. The channel Matt vs Japan also has great content with an input-based approach. Steve Kaufmann and Luca Lampariello are the other guys with great content on language learning. (These 2 last have learned more than 10 languages). Cheers from Brazil! :)

Sorry but when it comes to language the only thing that matters is comprehensible input sure this might help but that’s the main most important thing you must do
