Thanks for sharing your experiences as NICU nurse. Keep up the great work your doing as a NICU nurse as well. I"ll just call you Doctor Marie, can you see yourself as that a Neonatologist? Just something to think about. 😃

You’re so welcome! And yes, I can see myself as a neonatologist. I’ve been thinking about this so much recently. I’ll figure it all out soon! 🤍

Awesome informative video! I thought as new grads we could only apply for nurse residencies. I didn’t know I could apply directly to a job as a new nurse. The hospitals I want to work for are Emory and Northside and I think both will place new nurses on residency program. what do you know about that ?
@MelisaMarie Жыл бұрын
You can apply to any job that welcomes new grads. Residency programs are “supportive” in theory but it’s all dependent on the hospitals where joule be working and the education, etc. that they offer. Yup, both of those hospitals have residency programs and specific specialties that you apply for. Good luck to you on your journey!

Melisa thank you for sharing your experiences. I am starting my educational journey at CHAMBERLAIN in January. My question is when you graduated was there a pinning ceremony or do you receive a RN pin ?
@MelisaMarie Жыл бұрын
I received a pin upon graduating but it wasn’t placed on me, just given in my hand!

Thank you for this very informative Video. Are you able to share the companies you used for your job search? I will be Moving to the DMV area in May and I have already started the process of applying to NICU residencies.

You’re welcome! I didn’t use anything special, just google searches, indeed, Glassdoor, etc. but as I said, you’re better off with specific company sites (careers pages)
