In this episode, I show you some great deals that I picked up on both eBay and Facebook marketplace, which were all pre-and postwar Marx trains and cars

My could put a train museum on your layout and display some of them on siding tracks by it that's what I'm going 2 do on my layout build

Very nice. That is a good haul at a decent price. It is hard to kill Marx locomotives. A little lube and they are good to go. The reverse unit can have problems, though. I have a 1095 Santa Fe unit with a balky reverse unit. According to a train repairman on one of the Facebook sites that I belong to, I can take it apart, clean it up and get it to work properly. We'll see. As always, an excellent video.

Use electrical contact cleaner on e unit. Let thoroughly dry before you run loco. How do I know this? Lol.

Caboose with lights is a custom made lighted car. Interesting how they did the wiring so it doesn’t short out. From what you showed of it , it looked like an old Christmas tree light. Hard to tell with the Quick Look.

Once I got a closer look at it, that’s exactly what it is an old Christmas light. I need to make a better pick up for it though.

I hate styrofoam!Styrofoam! Is it possible that Marx used wind up cars in the electrified sets? I have always been impressed by the quality of Marxz lithography! It was quite good indeed. Like you I get a kick out of reading the newspaper stuffing. Could the crossing signal be Colber? The suitcase is really nice! It always amazes me how engines stored and neglected, sometimes for years, start right up! A credit to their manufacture!

Marx guy here, forgive me but please readjust your camera. We`re seeing more of the top of your head then the Marx. Great Show though. On the 556 where`s the pickup? The wedge tenders are my favorites 1938--56 . Is the Sea Board a Pacific car? Another J.D. , JOHN DOW, I knew him well. Love that Fuller Brush Salesman Suitcase. What is a Nicket Plate Road and the R/R line it belongs to? I custom converted my 994 in to a 2--4--2 and painted white over silver. Great show, God Bless.

I’ll work on that camera angle. The pick up was odd, just a horseshoe shaped piece of metal with a wire attached to it. The Nickel Plate Road was a more common name for the New York, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad.it ran from 1881-1964 In 1964 it and other midwestern lines were merged into the Norfolk and Western.
