best bet on those, tune it in open loop. Then you can program the system to be able to tune 5% and allow it to run closed loop. If something goes wrong with a sensor or something it can only add or pull 5%.

Super nice Four Eye Fox! You don't see too many of the four Eyed Foxes on the KZfaq Channels. I like what you have done with it. Sounds great and it hauls ass too!

I wish I'd seen this before buying the MegaSquirt ECU. What a headache that thing is to stay running right.

started work on mine today 93 suburban on a 383 its an easy hook up but i need a 90 degree turn on my return line and a throttle bracket

E85 is inconsequential until you add boost. I wouldn't even think of E85 from a performance standpoint with the Sniper EFI. However, it would be nice to use alternative fuels with this system.

I really wish they had a flex fuel setting with the snipers!

I wonder if this setup will work on a ‘85 Mustang Gt with the automatic transmission which has a TFI (Throttle Fuel Unit)…

I’m new to the EFI setup on classics. Got a 69 Mustang Fastback with a 302 that I bought this system for. Can’t wait to play with it, maybe a month more or so. Appreciate your thoughts on it. Wanted it so I don’t have to teach the kiddies carburetors.

It’s very simple and easy to use! Just make sure to read the instructions well. There’s also a Facebook group called “Holley Sniper EFI owners and tech”. If you have any questions, I’m sure the question you have has been asked 100 times over in that group!
@noneed4me2n72 жыл бұрын
@@cobrabuilt yeah there is some adapter plug I needed to get that goes with the Holley dual sync EFI distributor. Was originally going with an MSD ready to run one but it’s out of stock everywhere. Been researching the hell out of it with videos like yours so once again thanks,

What has been your experience with temperature fluctuation? If I drive in the summer it stays up above 200. Just wondering since I am running the same system on a 302 in an early mustang. Thanks in advance.

Nice setup! Question, where did you place your fuel pump?
@shannonduggan41432 жыл бұрын
I’ve switched to a intake one that is much quieter but when I did have a external one I had it on the plastic shield that is attached to the tank. You want it as close to the tank as possible without being above the tank!

Where did you route the pink ignition wire to???
@cobrabuilt2 жыл бұрын
Uh honestly I don’t know lol. I’d have to go back and read the instructions. If I remember right the pink wire is a constant 12v?
@stevebrown61752 жыл бұрын
@@cobrabuilt no, it goes to a switched 12v source. Best to run the pink to a relay that is triggered by a 12v switched.

I dont think these things are worth the money or the trouble. Unless you plan on spending 25-50 k on your hotrod, the 2500 you spend on these systems once its all said and done ends being 4-8 % of your car budget. if you are like me though and your budget is 5 to 10 k you are now looking at the system being 25-50 % of your budget. i would sooner fiddle with a carb for weeks or do an LS swap
@arkhsm2 жыл бұрын
LS; give me a break, nothin wrong with a good old Holley 4 barrel. Don't need to put a bastard engine in a sweet Henry Engine bay mate. This channel is for FORD lovers !!
@Turbo4Joe3632 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Junkyard LS swap solves all your fuel delivery problems....lol But you did mention doing it cheaply, and that's where junkyard LS swaps shine! Nothing says; "I don't have the money nor the know how to do it right" better than an LS swap.
