rest of this post: and she said that she does and tried to talk to my mom about it, And my mom used the excuse that my sister was sleeping and didn’t want to wake her. I started crying taking to her cuz I just feel so alone and that my family doesn’t care for me. I know it doesn’t seem like a lot, situations like this happen so much. My stepdad always buys my brother food and brings it home ( doesn’t get any for us ) he goes out with my brother and other stuff, which wouldn’t be a big deal if he wasn’t the only “ father “ I had. My dad is not in my life, and this has been the only dad I have known. And he hates me. No amount of talking can fix this hurt I have in my body.

If you live in California. And are 16 years old or older can get part time tech jobs and you get to keep your entire check (no paying taxes) and learn. Is what I told my little cousin who parents are going through a “hard patch” and keep yelling at her saying she taking sides. And. When you get your first paycheck invite your sister out to eat. Save the rest and keep saving until you move out. I did the same thing back in 2008. When I found out my maternal grandmother trying to marry me off. Saved all my money moved with my gay bestie who got kicked out for coming out gay. We both got accepted to Stanford. Now I didn’t help my mom with $ that she demands. She sided with my grandma and said I don’t need college and get marry. I went no I’m not marrying a guy said I can’t work I’ll do all the house work and expects hot meal and only give me $20 a month for my necessities. Expect sex when he wants it. If only period there my back door we can use I went nope left for college. Now 14 years later I’m happily married my mom and grandma never met there grand babies And never will.

I think it can work as a long as everyone goes into it wanting it to work. And that's the issue either the kids is resentful, the mom/dad doesn't like nonbio kids, etc etc. It takes a lot more work and i think the issue it seems like I can't work is because it's becoming more and more common but no one wants this situation. I think it's ultimately a respect issue. If you truly love the person then you should want a good relationship with the people they care about. Sadly you hear this often where the parent blows off the child in favor of the new spouse and there's nothing more wrong.

At 53 yrs old, I found out that my Dad wasn't my biological. Dad and I always had a rough relationship, obviously he favored my younger brothers and I didn't understand why. What was wrong with me?!? This really affected my self esteem from an early age and, I became difficult as a teenager and young adult. To be honest, I had suspected this, often talking to my best friend about it as a teenager and young adult. The favoritism subsequently became generational with the grandchildren. When I confronted my mother about my suspicions, she said to me, "So now you're going to disown him after he's raised you." I said "No, he's still my Dad, I only believe it would have helped my relationship with him, had I known earlier in life." Ironically, they no longer take my calls. They disowned me! WTF! I don't know why I share this, it hurts. I believe parents need to consider the secrets they keep from their children and/or how long they keep them. Keeping secrets like this could be damaging to a child's mental health. At least in this story they know they're step children. Not that it's right.

Hopefully one of these days when OP and their sister (regardless if they allowed to move in their father or other relatives) will have absolute no entrance in being in their mom and stepfather life anymore and have absolutely positively nothing and I mean nothing to do with them as for the bother if he does it know how bad things are because that could be a possibility all we know he didn't call it or what not we don't know so he might not know any of this so that's the case and he went to relationship with his sisters he should be able to have it bad baby the other two f*** him too.

My half sister has a rounded figure. It was definitely harder on her than me. My own narcissistic mother had already taught me that it was all my fault. My half sister now lives across the country from them in the north. I live across the country in the south. I guess what I’m trying to say is that you’re right. They probably are pretending to have a “perfect” family. Give ‘em a raspberry salute and hug your sister. You will hopefully always have each other. I don’t know how bad those parents are. My experience wants me to warn you about letting any of the three know whether or not you and your sister are at all close. Both of my parents interfered and sometimes sabotaged my relationships with anyone in their families.

I would post it on social media and tag ur step dad while they are out eating. Tell the neighbors, ur brothers teachers and all the family members. Just say Hey did you know my younger brother has a different father than my sister and I? And guess what my mum allows my stepdad and step brother to treat us like outsiders and she says nothing to defend us. Say it to the cashier while at checkout. My cousin did this to their mum/my aunt and her husband and her literally looked and pointed at as if they beat their children. He ended up getting demoted and she ended up working the shift no one wanted since her reason to work the prefer shift was to spend time with her children

I think the 2 siblings need to get jobs and save as much as they can because as soon as they're 18, they'll be kicked out. He already teiwd, but couldn't because they were a minor, but they wont be, soon. Op has their hould be ashamed of herself for not treating her children equally and that disgusting man should've thought about marrying someone with kids

This is the entirely the fault of the mother. She should have made things work with her first husband or not have kids with him at all. No man wants to raise another man's kids. It is never a plus if a woman has children unless it is a sociopathic predator who thinks it makes her desperate and vulnerable

My ex husband treats his other children different from mine. They all look like a version of me. His new wife started giving my babies bag lunches and he didn't see anything wrong with that, when we never did that. They trued to control me, im a free spirit btw. When they started dating i told him make sure that we get along, he didn't. Now she messed up our co parenting and his dumb arse let it happen. They're supposed to be christians and she's evil asf and now controls him and he let her.
