This is a video where I am sharing all about Our pregnancy. From the moment we found out to the day Our baby girl came into our Lives it has been the best roller coaster ride ever. All that has been narrated by me is raw, unfiltered and caution to anybody who is not looking for something so transparently explained.
The story includes all about My labour Delivery, postpartum depression and how I got through the phase with the support of my husband and family members.
Hope this helps a lot of the parents-to be in order to prepare better and panic lesser!
Lots of love ❤️

The delayed healing may be because of infection.. My sister had same problem.. So i was so concerned about this during my post partum period and happened to know that some others got the same problem.. Im sharing this as it may helpful to some.. 1. Dont ever clean the area with cold water.. Always clean with saline hot water even at the middle of night(i used to store hot water in flask for this) 2. Do wash with v-wash.. Its good to maintain the ph 3. After washing dry it completely.. I used to dry using cotton cloth first, after that tissue paper to remove the residue water and made sure that the area is completely dry( even after evering peeing) 4. After every wash apply betadine ointment.. I used to made the caretaker to apply it properly twice a day.. After every cleansing i, myself applied it.. (3-4 times) 5. During my bath session i used sitz bath with saline hot water for about 20 minutes.. Add hot water if temperature of the water reduced.. I did all these with atmost care.. It should be done from the delivery day itslef.. If the pain is not reducing even after 2 weeks make a doctor consultation. May be you will get antibiotics to get rid of infection. Dont ever wait for one month..

Thank you so much for sharing this!! I had similar experience when I delivered my baby boy last may amidst this pandemic. I had a very smooth pregnancy and delivered my baby through C section and physically everything went smoothly. But this pandemic severely affected my mental health. To add to my dilemma, my breast didn't produce enough milk and my baby was always hungry and looked thin. People commenting on his weight added to my woes. I hated breastfeeding and always felt bad about the fact that my breast couldn't satisfy my baby's hunger. The pandemic and lockdown made it worse since my husband could not meet me during my delivery. I had anxiety attacks and couldn't sleep at all due to nightmares. Thankfully speaking to a counsellor, husband and family helped me sail through it. Love to all mothers who go through so much physical and mental pain to bring a life❤️ Yesterday on mother's day,was my baby's first birthday. Unfortunately, we have been detected with covid. But this year, I am stronger and hoping that this too shall pass❤️

I gone through postpartum haemorrhage after my delivery. The stitches were so heavy and really painful, I can’t walk, sit, feeding my baby. I took around 4 months to come out from postpartum depression. Even you know like you said I didn’t thought I can’t be never normal and happy the way I was before. I overcome with my family support and my mental stability especially my MOTHER👩‍👧now my baby is 6 month old happy and safe. So all mom out there happy Mother’s Day

Can’t even imagine how someone goes through all of this. The saddest part would be when none of the family members accept the situation but also require the new mom to be active and helping others instead of crying for help and faking pain for attention as some would call it. Being empathetic and kind will be of great help I guess.

Thanks for doing this video. Everything you said about your wound not healing. I went through the same thing. I live in the US, and over here they won't give any medications topically to heal. So for my 6 week postpartum check I told my doctor the wound is not healing well, but she took lightly and I dealt with this issue until 5 months. I never got a chance to look down there with a mirror because of taking care of newborn and I had no help due to covid rising. When I finally checked it was terrifying. So I had to go back and get it refixed and yes, the anesthesia pain was more painful than labor. They call it vaginal polyps and not alot of people talk about this. You explained if wonderfully and this will definitely prepare some of the unfortunate people who will need to go through this 😔

Thank you for bringing the other side of postpartum..I myself like many others didn't knew that there are mothers who have went through hell after delivery because of the breastfeeding, mental torture by relatives..In movies we have only seen the happy part after delivery, so postpartum changes came as a shock to me and was crying for every small thing..It is so necessary to educate the young mothers and their family about postpartum changes as well... Much love to you for coming out strong after going through so much of pain...

Kudos to you!! You are such a brave mom and a very powerful woman!! I could totally relate to this. I had similar experience; it took one month for me to sit properly and walk without shooting pains and my endless secret emotional scenes. It took more than 3 months to accept what I had to go through. All these preparations and readings didn't help me much. Talk about your pain, cry out and let it out👍🏼 There will be people who ignore your pain and give damn advices on feeding and what not and torture you in all possible ways....just ignore. Take care of your physical and mental health, just focus on your baby.....Love yourself ❤️

Hi Shilpa. Appreciate your sharing your story. Im sure a lot of mums out there would be able to relate to your experiences. I just wanted to raise a small point about your observation that the only way to establish successful breast feeding is to just work through the pain. In fact, breast feeding is NOT supposed to be painful, and neither are constantly cracked and hurting nipples; atleast not to the unbearable extent that you’re describing it. If a woman is suffering such pain, it is time to see a lactation consultant and get advice re how things may be improved. It may be as simple as using a nipple shield or assessing the infant for a tongue tie etc, or expressing breast milk so that the infant may be bottle fed. I stress once again that breastfeeding is NOT supposed to cause you pain. It may be uncomfortable or cause soreness initially. The kind of ‘put up with it’ is an unsafe message imho and can contribute to postpartum adjustment issues in the new mum.

OMG Shilpa.. I saw this video just now and tears literally rolled down my cheeks because I had the same experience as a new mom - the ever unhealing sutures which took almost 2 months to heal with lots of potassium permanganate sit baths, and such; the biting pain when my child took his feed, the fearful sight of my baby demanding milk, the moment I screamed at my child at a moment of distress due to lack of sleep, the yells I did to my parents for labeling me of not sufficiently producing BM where actually my baby was catching up with weight well ahead. The one and only pillar for me throughout not to slip into PPD trauma forever was my husband and a couple of true friends. I could relate so much to this video and now when I recall all these incidents from 3 years ago, it still brings tears to my eyes because no mother could ever forget these moments of self doubt, guilt and helplessness against what we could have picturised in our minds as cuddling with our newborns and pampering them. I wish every mom gets the support from their family to overcome PPD and I also wish that our hospitals give awareness classes to the expecting couples on PPD, the importance of breastfeeding and how to face the struggles in it, etc. You have been touching my heart through your honest videos like this. Much much love to you and ur family. Stay blessed. - Jaisa ❤️

I had the same situation ! I had c section and and was in deeeep pain ! Couldnt feed baby properly had nipple cracks . Could sit couldnt lie down coupd turn around in bed . Feeding the baby was the biggest nightmare . Then i fell into depreesion on degrading myself as a bad mother who thinks its burden to feed baby .. my pain wasnt going away ! Nobody is aware of PPD ! I think more people should talk on it . We met our gynec and she asked us to see pschuatrist on diagnosing ppd ! But my mother refused me to take to psychiatrist as its social norm saying wat if someone sees us ..I APPRECIATE YOU on talking about ppd as its not known to many people ! PEOPLE MENTAL HEALTH IS AS IMPORTANT AS PHYSICAL HEALTH !!

Cried watching the whole video... In fact, tears flowing typing this now... Experienced a similar fate, though it was a c section... Like ur vishnu chettan, my mom nd retheshetan were my strongest pillars... None of the sisters used to clean me but my husband.. All the staff nurses were so proud of my husband and told my mom that I am the luckiest to get such a husband.... Dont want to rem those days but grateful for what god has bestowed on us... A beautiful child and an even beautiful partner for life💞 god bless u shilpa, vishnu chettan nd yami baby😘🙏

What u said about nipple crack is true.. for me also it was very painful, but I did not stop feeding... for me it was c section.. truly motherhood is a blessed moment.. but nobody know how he'll is postpartum depression.. best medicine is support from husband and family.. sometime a hug or kiss can change our mood... delivery and post delivery is not only a mother's part.. it's a process and support of a complete family.. god bless dear

I'm mother of 2 year baby. I can also relate this. My breast underwent pus and it's so terrible that days. I also thought I cant overcome from that. But after a few months everything went fine. So dear mothers don't worry too much and share your problems with your doctor and get out off it soon. Happy motherhood

I randomly saw your video. I had postpartum anxiety after my first baby was born. My baby had feeding issues. But by God’s grace, I came out of it. During that time, I had a feeling that I am not loving my baby enough. There was a burning anxiety in me. It was there for 3-4 months. But, those days will pass. If you feel you need medical help, pls go for it. But support of husband and family members are most important. Even the small conflicts between them will make your situation bad. Now my son is 5 yrs and I have a 6 week old baby. I was bit worried when I was pregnant with my second child, whether it will come back. But by God’s grace, I was perfectly ok. We are settled abroad and due to corona, no one could come for help. I had C section as well. But, everything is going well. I understood there is a solution for everything. Stay strong my friends. This day will pass. Once you are out of this you will enjoy the motherhood like anything. The best feeling of your life 😊 Good job Shilpa. People need more awareness. Happy that you shared your experience

This is too good shilpa.. I myself was a victim of post partum depression and i had to undergo this for almost two years.. Only after a few months that i realised that am under pp depression.. I wouldn't have been in this stage if my husband wasn't there.. He held me up in my bad times and stood for me and trust me now we have an awesome bond much much better than what we had before having our baby..love to you 🥰🥰
