Dude you literally has 2 version of AC Valhalla, 2 Versions of Cold war and ps4 version of Modern warfare installed on the PS5 and you're wondering of why your PS5 is out of storage space. Like literally no normal consumer would keep 2 versions of any game installed on 1 system. You can play your PS4 games through external HDD or SSD. Internal SSD should only be used for PS5 titles if you're planning to stuff your PS5 with 2 versions of every game.

And then getting screwed when the disc gets old or scratched. Good old days!

@@xMohJeex The disc getting scratched or old was virtually not a problem compared to this absurd new MANDATORY download-before-play system. Prevented me from playing so many games, I was only able to have 3-5 games on my system at a time, and if I wanted to redownload it would take ages. I understand mandatory downloading is for performance and all, but make it OPTIONAL. Would much rather take less fidelity and longer load times if I could just pop in games instantly.

Still though. They should have gave us more space but they were kind of greedy when it came to that component. Majority of triple A games and games upcoming in the future are 100’s of gigs and that’s before the updates for those games. Having at least 2 terabytes of space should be the standard

@@AC-yl6wg they definitely will. I’m 100 percent sure of it. They did the same with the ps4 with an update accepting external hard drive support. It would be stupid if they did not for the ps5. They are directly competing with Xbox and Microsoft already has external hard drive support. Despite this we should be getting at the very least 2 terabytes of storage at the very beginning. Even with 2 terabytes and games that release now, this is not as much as people may think. But 2 terabytes in my opinion would be very cost effective for Sony and would make is so we the consumers are slightly happier which is a good things. They are just being a bit greedy which is to be expected when you are in first place on the console market. Sony is not as humble as they used to be and it’s beginning to show. Little by little they are getting over on us more and more. It’s like the foot in the door phenomenon. As long as they don’t make a large enough jump to get over on us we won’t notice and the majority of consumers would accept it as the way it is. Microsoft is also a bit greedy too. If you pay attention the external hard drives for the Xbox are not cheap. This is another way for them to get over on us. You buy the base console, eventually run out of space and have to then have to buy an expensive hard drive, rinse and repeat. And Sony won’t be better on this. Once they release an update adding support for more storage you bet your behind they are going to do the same and get over.

@@rubski-ds9yc impossible for NVME i think the highest is 2TB and its EXPENSIVE especially PCIE GEN 4 which is faster than GEN 3 hopefully the ps5 can use GEN 3 as well that way ur not forced to pay more when all u need is 1tb more and dont care about the load times of just being 1 or 2 seconds more than the internal one. Cuz xbox series s/x takes gen 3 and gen 4 but also limited to 2230 format. Sooooo yea.

@@dailydoseofgtaonline448 its going to suck upgrading again in the future (when the 1 or 2tb expansion isn't enough anymore), you'd have to transfer the m.2 storage onto a hard drive, then put in the new m.2 and transfer it back on. hopefully by then we will have decent external ssd's to speed up the process a bit.

Really they should have gone with a slower ssd, and went 4tbs. The file sizes on games now will exceed 300 gigs for big games. Destiny 2 is already almost 300gigs for the ps4 version. They could have went twice the loading speed of the ps4 and still went with much larger ssds. The series x is much cheaper to upgrade with its rear ssd port. You can put in 2tbs extra and be at 3tbs for 200 bucks. For a 2tb for th3 ps5 it's like 300 bucks and 600 if you go 4tbs. Because the higher speed on the ps5 ssd just makes it way expensive.

@@TheRebecablack, l heard that you can play PS4 games via external HD BUT nothing for PS5 games yet. With that said, there had been reported issues with that as well. This is one of many reasons why I didn't get a PS5 at launch because it feels like to me that Sony rushed development of the PS5 and were not quite ready for next generation unlike thier competition who appears to be all in.

No matter how fast your internet is, there is a limit as to how fast a game can be downloaded, I have fast enough internet about 100mb/s download and it does take about 20 mins for a 20gb download.

That’s a mistake I have them in an external hard drive just to store them then I swap it into the ps5 when I want to play. Bigger games like Red Dead 2 obviously take longer but no more than 10 or so minutes. What sucks is you can’t use the ui while it’s transferring over. But you don’t get any of the benefits from the ps5 using it on an external drive and trust me once you’ve experienced the ps5 yourself you’ll never want to go back to the ps4.
