It facinates me how focussed Max is, even when hes talking with you at the same time, no matter how hard the bump he (almost) never blinks and keeps his eyes fixed in the corners. Also I rather have a thousand people like you on the paddock instead of 1 celeb nowadays. And also what a great experience that must have been! It sure looks that way😁

+ have money, my dad and mom are both gearheads too but I only had budget for regional amateur series. Also neither are connected in the racing world like an ex F! driver and Karting championess are. With Sophie's brother also being a factory GT3 racecar driver.

I'm talking passion for driving, not the logistics side of it. And lots of money is not always the case, Lewis Hamilton made it without that much money, it was a middle income family, dude was good, got a sponsorship and the rest is history. @@RJW14

Super bumpy track. Clearly that suspension is pretty racy. Engine sounds fantastic. Runs through the revs beautifully. Amazing ti see him make it eag through the corners so effortlessly. It has to be a brilliant car for an F1 driver to be able to flog on it so hard. Super fun video. In a perfect world, this would do bug numbers.

That is pretty amazing he’s barely holding that wheel. But my goodness put the suspension in comfort or sport. comfort is plenty stiff Especially on that bumpy track.

I'm guessing you knew, at the time, that you were riding with a legendary, generational, driver...someone who makes roughly $100M per year (a little more than half of that as salary and the rest as endorsements). Right now he is driving as great or greater than the greatest of all time and, by the time he is done, I think he will be considered the GOAT.

Can’t help but think that the reason he was seemingly barely holding the steering wheel with one hand was an attempt to feel SOMETHING at all since modern electric steering systems have numbed out all of the road feel in an attempt to reduce NVH for the general public. You can read about how racing drivers hold the wheel with as little grip possible and why in Ross Bentley’s Speed Secrets book series.
