You’re incorrect about the dark horse being the highest naturally aspirated horsepower Mustang the Shelby GT 350 is naturally aspirated and has more horsepower than the dark horse and GT350 is a manual. Other than that you did a great job!

I love your reviews, Alanis! They become more funny and exciting then Doug's. I miss him going into back seats on camera - fortunately, you do it and also try to fit in the trunk, which is hilarious and also shows the practical side of the car. I don't like the 7th gen Mustang tho. They took a beautiful car and ruined it. From the back, it looks almost like the 6th gen, but the front... ew, that front... ugly AF.

If all you care about is the appearance and the tremec trans than the darkhorse is about a $5k premium over a regular GT. If however you want a car that is actually as fast as the last gen mach 1, you need the $5500 handling package. If you want the premium interior that's another $4k, and the recaros another $2k. My perfect spec for this car, Blue Ember Metallic with the handling package and the recaros, is $75,000. IMO that is absolutely ridiculous for a car that is arguably worse than a GT350/R and more costly than one as well. Yes you can argue that you don't need all of the options, but then you might as well go for the GT. Also I think the screens sticking out like that look absolutely ridiculous, no attempt to create a dashboard/cowel like the last gen. Audi is the gold standard here for digital gauge clusters, but anything is better than what they did.

More a refresh than a new gen. Looks great outside. Inside they just ruined it with one big LCDs and getting rid of buttons and knobs.

I like the Mustangs, but we get screwed in the UK. For example, that car is about $73k in the US - the same configuration here in the UK is $94k approximately. We also have a lot fewer options in. the configurator - I can basically choose external colour (not the stripes etc like you can in the US) and the optional recaros. That's it. At that price though it's competing with some very serious european competition from Porsche, Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes for example, so it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense unless you REALLY want one. It's a shame because they are really cool. Awesome review as always!

Using various and different monikers for performance models continues to confuse things, this one included. GT, Cobra, GT-350/500 (Shelby, I know, but still sold thru Ford), Mach-1, now this….Ford would be better off streamlining the nomenclature into something a little more coherent and recognizable over time.
