My RSX-S at the dragstrip

14 жыл бұрынSmall compilation from my last visit at Pont-Rouge in Quebec, Canada, with my 2002 RSX type S. The car is equipped with a Injen cold air intake.
It was a pretty cold night, so the car was running pretty well, but the cold reduced traction alot and it was not possible to make really good launches. So my times were as good as when I would make 2.2 60' during hotter days. If I could get both traction and nice cold weather, I think I could still lower my time a bit.
In order :
-14.887 @ 93.76 mph
-14.922 @ 93.96 mph
-14.852 @ 93.67 mph
-14.825 @ 93.96 mph
Best run of the day (not filmed) :
-14.756 @ 94.15 mph
Personal record :
-14.696 @ 94.68 mph with a 2.282 60 ft.

That's a really good time for i/h/e. Now add a K-Pro and hit the 13's ! On my part, 2 years ago I managed to lower my time to 14.69 with the intake.

@xxnissansilviaxx The owner of the focus is a friend of mine and he turbo'd it. It was supposed to be a closer race since he expected to have 200 hp like me, but the car wasn't running well that night so the outcome of the races were not as good as expected. Also he mainly turbo'd the car for learning mechanics rather than speed.

@sic3kgt No sir I'm part of the lucky ones that do not suffer from 2nd gear grind ;) But I gotta admit that the dealership replaced my 2nd gear and synchros about 2-3 months after I bought the car, which was 2 and a half years ago, because at very low temps it was hard to get into gear (can get pretty cold here in Canada !).
